I wish I had been home to take the call. I know enough about the IRS that the call is a scam, so I would have liked to have some fun with them, I can speak with a wicked Norwegian accent. I hate that some people fall for this however.

Received same call as previously mentioned.  Automated message states " I.R.S. has filed a lawsuit against you"

I got a call telling me that the IRS as well, same number 425-296-1450, telling me that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me.  When I called the number I got a fast busy signal sound from the phone.  So glad that I found these posts.

Got a recording about the IRS filing a lawsuit against me.  They repeated the number while I was going to get a pencil (so I could look it up), but I only got the first six digits (area code + 3).  Looked it up as '425296 IRS' and ended up here.  Didn't buy into it for a minute once I heard the word 'lawsuit', as that requires papers to be served.  The '425' just cemented it.
