- Sickofit| 1 replyThis is J&L Teamworks or J&L Solutions. They are a debt collector. They are calling me for debts my deadbeat brother owes.First I haven't used my maiden name for 38years. How they connected me to him after all that time means their data bases are NSA quality.Secondly I believe it is illegal to harass me about a third party debt.I have filed complaints with the FTC,FCC,CFPB,called my Congressman& alerted my phone provider Comcast, that they were able to access my voicemail box EVEN THOUGH I was holding the receiver .These MF's are pure evil. Keep filing complaints, eventually they will be fined out of existence .

I also received a call from Cory Baker which came through as an unknown number. This moron says he has received a formal complaint in his officer and to call 440-565-5763 with a case number. HAHA then he says you have one opportunity to rectify this and if not then good luck with your endeavors. Really????? Who does this kind of [***]????? Where do I turn these lowlife scumsucking bottom feeders in to???

- Tired of Harrassment| 4 repliesI received a call on my cell phone for my brother with the return # of 440-565-5763 xt. 102 and a case number of 223695. I called the number and they asked me for my brother's contact information which I would not give them. Several months ago, I received these same kind of calls on my home phone. It seems that since they did not get any information from me on my home number, they are now trying to use my cell number. I am going to block them so I do not receive any additional calls. I feel sorry for those who receive these calls and believe what is being told to them. I hope someone does something soon about this company.

- oh-well| 2 repliesthey called me too. told me they were handling my account. I didnt have the money to pay it back then and I still dont. I was told they were sending it back to the original creditor. I guess whn I have money I will pay them.
- Anonym replies to Tired of Harrassment| 3 repliesfirst of all.. they call because your number is associated with the debtor.. if you said you had no info your number was removed.. second why dont you do something about the people who owe money and they wouldnt call you
- Elspeth replies to AnonymFirst of all...they call because they're scammers and keep violating the FDCPA...she already told them she had no info to give and they keep calling. Secondly, it's not her responsibility to "do something about the people who owe money" and if they keep calling third parties who do not owe, the caller will be the one being sued and owing money. Take your cr@p elsewhere, troll.
- Elspeth replies to oh-wellPer the FDCPA, you should NOT pay any caller who refuses to MAIL a debt validation letter showing that (1) you owe a debt and that (2) your caller has the legal right to collect said debt. Refusal to mail this debt validation letter within five days of their first call is a violation of federal law. If a caller says you owe them - make them prove it, in writing, per the FDCPA!
- ShillKill replies to AnonymReading skills are not your strong point, are they? Did they indicate that this person they are associated with actual owes a debt? Can you even validate the debt? Even if the person they are associate with did owe money, what business of theirs is it to do something about it. Can't you even do your own job correctly?
- MidNYteStorm replies to AnonymWrong, I received calls for people I never heard of and they continued to call after they were informed that their information was outdated. So much for that theory.
- Badge714 replies to oh-wellSo long as your giving away money to just anyone who calls you, because that's what you said, would you like to buy us all icecream sandwiches? Because. . . well, why not? I, like the White Queen, try to believe as many as 6 impossible things before breakfast. Count them Alice.

Their tactics are well documented in the following thread (littered with employees and shills making some eceptionally abusive remarks about consumers and people making reports on this site)

A debt collector may no use abusive or profane language in the course of communication related to the debt.
Publish a Bad Debt List
Publishing the consumer’s name or address on a "bad debt" list is prohibited.
Contact By Embarrassing Media
A debt collector may not communicate with a consumer by post card. It may not use any language or symbol, other than the debt collector’s address, on any envelope when communicating with a consumer by use of the mails or by telegram. A debt collector may use its business name if such name does not indicate it is in the debt collection business.

Bills.com FDCPA FAQ
Below are questions Bills.com readers ask frequently:
Can a Collection Agent Call My Cell Phone?
Yes. However, if you tell the debt collector it may not use that number because it is a cell phone, it may not contact you again at that number.
I Keep Receiving Dozens of Calls From Collection Agents. Is That Legal?
No. Unscrupulous collection agents will use "block parties" or "office parties" where they contact a consumer, multiple neighbors, or co-workers telling them they need to reach the consumer on an urgent matter. This is not permitted under the FDCPA.
A Collector Says I Will Be Arrested if I Do Not Pay
This was a true statement before the US Civil War, but has not been true since. People may be arrested if an aggressive judge files a bench warrant for a person who does not appear at a hearing relating to a lawsuit regarding a debt. However, in that case, the offense is the failure to respond to a court order, and not the existence of the debt. As stated above, it is illegal under the FDCPA to threaten a consumer with arrest if the consumer does not pay the debt.- Caller: Informational Post
