443-456-0286 Edgewood MD left no message on my cell phone. When called back from public landline got some lines about "rewards for $100 voucher" and Press 1 or 2...blah blah. NOPE. Will block number.

They seemed nice..offered me a nice  100 dollar gift card, which I gladly accepted!

I agree, like those people if they even do leave a voice mail will not even mention his, her, or your own name, I mean while working at work one day, my grandmother who lives 15 hours away hot a call from an insurance scammed saying "your grandson got into an accident in Florida and is facing a criminal suit unless he can pay off a few thousand some dollars, yada yada yada", she believed it, but thankfully the bank wouldn't let her take out that much for some odd reason, and she was panicked, my grandpa later calls my mother after the day is over just to tell her what he found out upon entering his own home, lol, like "...um..no, he was working here at his job down here in texas, what would make you think he'd be all the way in florida?"

I called this number back via my cell phone add that is the number it was received. Verizon wouldn't call the number because I apparently have fraud protection. Great! There ya go. Its fraud.

There is no gift card.  tommyD is a shill for these crooks.  they will ask for a couple of dollars for "shipping" expenses, and when they have your card information they will drain your account dry.

My grandmother fell for this. They asked for name, address, and a debit card number. She gave the information, but it was a debit card she hadn't used in months. Nothing is on it. What should she do???

Same as others, no vmail, just added it to my no-answer entries. Wish we could just kill these people and the people who run the robodialers >:}

How would a debit card have nothing on it?
Is it a prepaid debit card?
Those things sometimes have peculiar terms in their contracts.
A bank debit card is tied to an account that usually has money in it.

Call the number on the back of the card to get it canceled, and request a card with a new number be issued. While the card itself has not been stolen, the number has. You can also file a police report.

They're now doing a call and hang up call expecting people to call them back.  Wish there was some major penalty that could be enforced on these jokers.
