- NikkiI got a call and didn't pick up. I immediately called back to a man answering "hello". I let him know I was returning a call, that someone had called my phone. He then stated his name and told me he was from IHG promotions. I politely told him I was not interested. He put up no fight and no pressure to keep me on the phone.
- Call type: Survey
- AnonymI use IHG for many hotel stays so when I received the call a while back I was curious. I had planned on a short trip to Scotsdale so I took them up on the offer, 199 for 3 days (money refunded after sales presentation+100 spending money) Stayed 3 nights, told them we were not interested after the tour, took their money and went to the casino

- Thaddeus Buttmunch MD replies to GregI have a call from them on v.tech phone. You know-I wonder if it's REALLY IHG. The Auto Warranty scammers claim to be "Omega Auto Care, and even give you "their" 800 number. When I called to complain that I'm on the DNC list the lady said "we're allowed to call you once. We can DO that." Uh...no, you CAN'T. Not when I'm on The List. So, I said a few choice things to her, and hung up. (she Also said "Sir-we're not a Scam, or you couldn't call us back." So, then, I complained about Omega on a Consumer site, and the Real CEO emails me that they NEVER Cold Call people. When I gave him their info, he promised to get on their Butts about it.

- Sue MThanks for info. I get call from this number about twice a week. Have been staying away from Choice hotels due to the pushy telemarketing, and I have 4500 points. Now Holiday Inn is doing it too. Am ignoring both emails and phone calls

- EStarted with an IHG short survey where I didn't have to give out any personal info and answer a handful of basic questions then was transferred to a promotion guy. Like others have mentioned the guy was super nice and friendly and was trying to sell me a vacation. However when I wouldn't give my credit/debit card number out over the phone (supposedly "to hold a deposit"), he wouldn't take "no" for an answer. To convince me to give my payment info he tried to sweeten the deal, said he would get his manager, reiterated that he already knew my home address (without me giving it out), made sure that I knew his name and address and where he was calling from... but didn't understand that I still wouldn't give my credit card number. I tried to politely end the call, but he just wasn't listening and kept pressuring so I hung up on him.
A real business wouldn't put that much pressure on you to give your credit card number over the phone.
I remembered after the call that IHG/Holiday Inn had customer data stolen from hack in the last year or so which would explain how they had my personal info.- Caller: "IHG"

- Keisha replies to ShelbyThe caller id showed IHG Rewards. Not sure who they are as I did not pick up.
- DanielEverything else that everyone is saying was my experience. I frequently use IHG as well, and after a survey they tried to sell me a 4 day 4 night stay for $250 (with the $150 back). After I told them I wasn't interested, they kept going, after I repeated that I wasn't interested and needed to return to work, they kept going. I finally just had to hang up on them.

- RJThird time in the past several months that I've received a call from this number. They don't ever leave a message and I don't know anyone in Atlanta. Others on here have indicated that this might be from IHG. That may be true, but in this day and age, you cannot trust random phone calls that don't leave identifying messages. I've blocked their number.
- Caller: Unknown, maybe IHG?

- VInnie replies to B-Rock| 1 replyIts a legit call, but what they don't tell you is you have to tour the IHG vacation club where they hard sell a timeshare. I took their offer a few years ago as the location was a good deal (Myrtle Beach) however in the time I accepted and paid for the package my wife decided she wanted a divorce so we separated. Unbeknowst to me since I was married at the time i accepted the offer (and stated I was married) my wife had to accompany me on the timeshare tour. When I told them we were separated and in the process of a divorce I was told I couldn't take the tour alone (even had legal separation papers) AND due to the fact that I did not live up to my part of the original booking I had to pay full price for the weekend which was over $500...needless to say IHG is off my list for any travel considerations ever
- BigA replies to VInnieI would call it anything but "legit". Making you pay them for a sales pitch? I don't care how great the deal was.
- Matt replies to AnonymousIHG hotels is correct. Doing a survey
- Cautious replies to Heather| 1 replyNever answer their questions with a yes.
They record your yes answer, then they use it to answer any questions they want. - anonymousDidn't answer. not interested.
