Caller from this number continues to call my cell phone all day long (10 times a day) but doesnt leave a message.  When i call the number back i get a recording north metro ambulance service and to contact with reference number.

have you or anyone in your family been transported by ambulance lately, they are just trying to get insurance info...or to collect on a bill

Received call at 8:14 from 480.270.6300 from an ambulance service requesting that I call to address an outstanding bill.  I goggled the phone number, found this site and see that I'm not alone.

I have this number call me every day at least once. They never leave a mssg. I have never even been to Arizona. A legit ambulance collection agency wouldnt call from a cell phone. Don't call it back! Its a scam!

I'm 16 and I've never been injured or even been to a hospital for that matter, obviously I don't have debt and don't owe them money. Every day I get ATLEAST 3 calls from debt collectors. I'm extremely annoyed by it.

I would recommend blocking their #! That's what I am going to do.

I am 32 now and haven't been in an ambulance since I was 10 years old.
Obviously, my parent's (teachers) health insurance covered this all some 20 years ago.

I haven't even been in the state of California since 2007-
and i would certainly known if i had been in an ambulance pr a hospital at all.

As far as I'm concerned, any company that is harassing un-involved people is NOT reputable.
There have got to be legitimate ways to contact people who owe them and this isn't it.
Even if you think you may legitimately owe them something, I wouldn't answer- it could be a scam.
If their records are so poor that they end up harassing random people like myself, I would assume they don't even have good standing to go after someone whom actually did.

Anyway- this is a perfect example as of why we need health care reform.
A single payer system is really the only logical and proven solution-
however, anything, even that piece of garbage in the senate they are calling reform, has to be better then what we got now. A more massively inefficient waste of resources then this current system is unimaginable.

They won't stop calling.  And I a DONE with picking up.  First of all, the calls started just out of the blue for NO REASON.  Fact: I attend college online through Grand Canyon University in Tempe, AZ.  Fact:  I have not ridden in an ambulance, EVER!  Fact: I have never even been to the campus in AZ, let alone ridden in an ambulance there.  They started calling me after I signed up for school in the area.  But I don't even live there for one and for two I have never been in an ambulance.  Some of you say it is legit, but it seems odd to me that they started calling after I signed up for a school in the area (albeit an online school) and now they suddenly say I owe money for an ambulance ride there.  I have never even been in the state.  I live in Seattle.  I have told them to stop calling and they won't.

I am having the same problems as everyone else.  I called once and told them to stop calling me and that it was a mistake and literally the next day there was another voicemail from them.  What a bunch of jerks.  I wish we had a normal legal system that would punish these guys for wasting out time over and over and over.

You must be as stupid as they are.  I started getting calls from this number today.  Three so far.  I do not live anywhere near Arizona, and I have never used an ambulance service, so if you have an inside connection with them, tell them if they put anything on my credit record, I will end up owning their ambulances, then you can pay me next time your husband needs a ride.  
I am tired of companies who try to bill just anyone, or scamers who try to rip people off.

If you call the number and press '3' it brings you to a live person.

A month or two ago I ended up in the hospital. I hadn't paid the bill yet because there was the ambulance one, and other bills totaling $5000 that insurance supposedly didnt cover at all.
They knew enough info about it that I think they're legit, but I'm not sending them any money. When I have everything in order, I'll pay what I got in the mail, not some company that uses god-awful systems to collect money.

If any of you have had no business with the this company and are being harassed. File a complaint with the FTC and your State Attorney Generals Office for fraud and they will look into it.

Well I live in Indiana and I never been to California nor has anybody I family, so why would they be calling me??

They just called me and I have NEVER been in an ambulance so it IS a sam.

They have been calling us leaving a partial message.  Thing is, we have never used an ambulance.  They don't even operate here in Tallahassee as far as I know.

neither me or my wife(which is the only two people living in my household) has ever been in an ambulance. They are calling me more than 3 times a day, and when i answer they don't say anything!!! It's really getting annoying

This number has started calling me several times a day and never leaves a message.  Based on other posts, it sounds like a scam.  I rarely go to CA and have never needed an ambulance there.  I will save this number as 'do no answer -scam' in my phone and just keep ignoring it.  Thanks for all the input everyone (except Trudi).  :)

shows on callerID as "PHOENIX AZ"

Recorded message saying it's from Rural Metro Ambulance and giving 800-number to call with reference #.  Debt collection with the wrong number.
