Calls all times of day and night! After 9pm is a big no no for debt collectors so I kind of know thats not what this is! I took a ride in an ambulance but it was in MO! No way do I owe this company money! Really getting sick and tired of the phone calls!

This is definitely strange.

We haven't used an ambulace service in about 15 years and I've never been west of Colorado...
I called the call-back 800# (before realizing that something was probably up) since they've called three times in the past week.

I went right through to a live person (by hitting 0, just like most automated systems) and spoke to a "bill collector."  
She asked what number I was calling from, I gave it to her and she said she was trying to find Eileen Grant.  I said there's no one here by that name and she appologized and assured me she would remove my number from the system.  

I could easily believe that this *is* a scam.  
But what's the scam if they don't ask for further info??

We receive a phone call at least twice a week from this number.....then all the sudden we had over $50 of international phone calls applied to our number.....we don't know anyone international.....i believe they are trying to verify that it is a resident number so they can charge phone calls to your phone number.  We have had our number changed and blocked from international inbound or outbound calls.  BEWARE THEY WILL USE YOUR NUMBER TO CHARGE CALLS ON.

My father was transported by Rural/Metro by a BLS (Basic Life Support) unit.  These are EMT's at best and the bill was over $1000 //   I started to get harassing calls from this number BEFORE  I ever received a bill.  And, oh , by the way, I am ashamed to admit that a LONG time ago I worked for Rural/Metro - (back when they were nice.

Called my house phone left no message, I was there just didn't know the # or Area code calling so I didn't pick up. (there is more than one reason I own an answering machine), 5 seconds later my Cell rings from the same #. I answer get the recording to call them. If they are legit and have both my numbers from paper work I filed during my wife's hospital stay, then they should have my address can can send me a proper paper bill like most every legit business in American dose! Also Memphis doesn't show up on my map as being in Arizona.

I have gotten two calls (robot voice recordings) from this #, one shows up Phoenix the other shows up Mesa. They say they are the bus ofc of Rural Metro San Diego Med Svcs, SW Ambulance & Affiliates. To call 800.468.0219 and give ref #xxxxx. They don't use my name, so they don't know me. I have never been in an ambulance, I live in TX, I have no friends or family in CA or AZ. I have reported them to the Do Not Call Registry.

I too received a call from these people about an unpaid ambulance bill.  We live in Florida, so why on earth would we be using an ambulance service in Arizona?  My husband accidently erased the message, so I do not have their 800 number.  I've tried to look it up, but can't find it.  Does anyone have the number so I can call them and clear this up??

I hate rural metro. You set up a payment plan, send them money each month, then they call saying they haven't received anything. I have money order receipts.

Rural metro has an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau of Indiana where I live. No wonder

I'm tempted not to send them anything more. I am well into stage 4 kidney disease (less than 25% function left) and don't feel like being harassed by them when I am making payments as agreed. I should sue them.

Got this number today and got on Google.
Came here and read all the comments, so I know why I am getting the phone calls now.
I have my adult sons old phone number, and he did use their services once.

For all the others who have posted, maybe I can offer some explanations.

If you live in Arizona, (don't know about CA.) Rural Metro is a subscription Fire Rescue/Ambulance Service. So if you live in the county area or a county island, they are making a sales call to force you into a yearly subscription.

For those of you with no connection to Arizona or California, I have bad news.

You will no longer be able to say illegal immigration will never affect you.

Chances are your phone number was pulled from the yellow pages, mixed in with someone else's name
and social. And given the the professionals at the scene and even the hospital.

My suggestion to you people would be to pull all three credit reports on yourself and dispute EVERYTHING that you have not created.

First off--Rural Metro is a corporate ambulance service.  It started in Arizona--but they are invading every part of the country where they can get a foothold.  Coming to a location near you, if they are not already there!
Rural Metro is a well oiled corporate money maker and the robo calls are their leverage.  If you have received these please call your Attorney General in the state you live in and file a complaint about the robo calls.   If the AG get's complaints they will investigate the company and put a stop to this practice--hold them accountable.   They are getting away with it by counting on people not saying anything........it is harassment and it is illegal!!

Spoofed number

They have harassed me for over 4 months about a past due bill that was paid by my insurance. They have overcharged me by $200.000, and I'm not going to pay it, because I have a co-pay insurance plan with Humana, and I paid that when I was released from the hospital. I've given them my insurance information at least 3 times, and they still call me. I'm tired of it
