This is a hotell/airline scam from a call center. I googled Travelocity’s number instead of getting the number from their actual website. I called the first number that came up under customer support, then hung up because I didn’t have my information ready yet. Less than a minute later I received a call from this Phoenix number. A sweet sounding lady with an Asian accent wanted to know if I needed to make a reservation, then she asked for my name which is when warning bells went off. This was 2:40 am in the morning. I told her I wasn’t giving my name to a stranger that called me at 2 am.
If you need to make a reservation or cancel with Travelocity do NOT use the number 1- 888-956-5667, use their website or app and if you’re a register customer they will know your name by caller ID. Travelocity’s Real number is  1-855-214-8324

Received a phone call from this number. A foreign guy left a message stating he was from Expedia and that my flight had been changed and to call back at 877-653-3156. I've had a couple flight changes and they were all through email from the airline directly. Seems like a scam.

Got several calls in succession from this number as well the 602-603-8018 number but decided to ignore them since I wasn’t expecting a call from AZ. When I eventually picked up on the nth call, it turned out to be a service center representative from Expedia. I had been trying to cancel some flights but we had gotten cut off. Sounded like a call center out of the country (? India). Maybe they use these numbers to make it look like they’re in the US.

hotels.com also uses this number, I assume because they are used by the same company.  They used this number to contact me and confirm a cancellation I had done.

Caller was clearly in a call center. Told me he was calling from Alrdridge (bad pronounciation) about my recent reservation. I told him I didn't have one, and asked to be put on their do not call list. He told me it wasn't a spam call and that there were changes to my reservation that needed to be discussed. I told him I had no travel reservations. (I do.) He said he would email the information to the email on the account.

It turns out the indian who I was talking to was trying to say "Orbitz" instead of "Aldridge". Man what a horrible accent. Anyway, when I called Orbitz directly with their actual number they confirmed that my flight had indeed been changed by the airline, so the call from the original call center with this 480 number turned out to be legitimate.

Very similar situation for me last night.  At 12:40am call from 480-401-3863 followed 3 minutes later by call from 602-603-8018.  Love spam calls waking me up in the middle of the night.  I have had the phone for a month & not given the number to anyone except family & extremely close friends.

    New Number
All phone numbers are recycled.  No one gets rid of a number without a good reason since it a pain in the butt to notify everyone.  So now you know why the former owners got rid of that number.

I too saw this number 480-401-3863 on a call back from Expedia Customer Service after our call was dropped.  I tried the number to reach Expedia customer service and was "holding" for the agent when I was told I was eligible for $200 gift card from Walmart.  When they asked for information like name & address that I thought Expedia would already have on me it became clear that I was not on  hold for Expedia customer service.  When challenged the person hung up and this morning, less than 24hrs later I have had 3 additional calls (with invalid caller ID & number) informing me I am the winner of a gift card (from Walmart, Macy's and the like) and another robo call I qualify for debt reduction.   Bad on EXPEDIA if this is what happens when giving your phone number for a call back rather than waiting on hold.

I was ignoring thinking it was spam, then finally answered - and good thing I did!  It's Expedia owned hotel.com number.  Had booked hotel for exec and they were calling to say Marriott was oversold and they were sending him to another hotel a block away!  So heads up - it's a hotel.com number 408-401-3863

480 401 3863 called 11 in the evening and left phone number 877 707 5242 to call them back pretending they are expedia.  Total scam, the 877 is not expedia.  They hack your flying data and try to scam you. Do not answer.

A message from this number was left on my phone. When I listened they claimed to be Expedia which interestingly enough I had just contacted the day before about an overcharge on a hotel booking. The message said they were returning my call since it appeared I had tried to reach them which is true. They didn't leave a callback number which I thought was a little strange. This could indicate they were actually Expedia and assumed I would call them back on the number I had previously used to contact them or maybe they thought I would use the number in question here. I have chosen not to return their call because my issue with Expedia was resolved to my satisfaction yesterday.

Expedia call back makes sense. Was just on the phone with them and was cut off so they must be trying their call back (1/2 hour later after I called back in already and got what I needed)

    (480) 401-3863 called me 2x in a row at 12:53 AM!!!!  I did not answer, they left no message.   I had just been on the phone with Hotwire cust service FOR AN HOUR, and decided to call the airline myself after 30 min.  They kept coming on the line (sounded like a party in the backround), hard to understand the foreign accent and putting me on hold.  My final time "off" hold was when I completed my call with the airline.  I told him I had taken care of it.  I think he called me back to annoy me. 😛😛😛
