    Hello Geo,
I appreciate your interest in buying my car. The Porsche is in perfect shape, never been smoked in, without scratches or dents, and it has never been involved in any kind of accidents. I legally own a clear title, free of any liens or loans, under my name. It has 6,620 miles, for sale at $19,500. The price is below the market as I recently divorced and I don't own a driver's license, therefore I don't need it, so I'm trying to sell it as soon as possible. If you have any other questions, or need more info, please feel free to ask.

Here is the vin number in 1st place WP0AB29878U782644  and I will also attach the pictures + auto-check. My number is 402 557 0375. Oh, you are from in Canada? Well, that won't be a problem.
    ===============

    Hello Geo,
I will respond to your inquires but first please let me explain to you the process of this transaction and you can decide if you want to proceed or not.
As I told you in my first email, I recently got divorced. I also got a new job and moved to Omaha Nebraska in order to start over.  I'm in Omaha Nebraska but my presence won't be necessary because I prearranged the deal with PayPal. The car is in Omaha at the shipping company, ready to be delivered. The deal includes free delivery and it will arrive at your address in 3 to 5 working days. You will have 5 days to test it and inspect the car prior to making any purchase and if by any reason you find something you don't like about it you can send it back at my expense. If you want to make this deal I need the following details from you: full name, address, and phone#.
Once I have your info I will forward them to PayPal to get things started. PayPal will contact you shortly after they have the details with all the information that you need to complete this
deal and you will also have proof that I am covered by them and a legitimate seller. Waiting for your email with the requested details.
    Regards

I'm so glad I found this site!  "Susan Bransford" is now trying to sell a 2009 GMC Yukon Denali on Cars.com for $17,199.  I received basically a cut and past copy of the e-mail about being recently divorced, no license, etc.  She even sent me a "PayPal" invoice for the transaction.  The transaction number listed is actually a phone number: 424-520-1923.  Her current e-mail address is: susan.bransford31@msn.com

I checked again just a few minutes ago and the ad on Cars.com is gone.  I guess she thought after she sent me the invoice I was just going to roll over and give her $17k!  I've reported the whole thing to PayPal as fraud.  I still have a saved copy of the Cars.com ad that I'll be reporting to them shortly as well.

Thanks again everyone for putting word out on this con-artist.

Mine was for a 575M.  was all by email and got the "PayPal" invoices. so it looked like it was on the up-and-up.. she got impatient and asked me to call her at 402 557 0375.  The accents of the man who answered and "Susan" were DEFINITELY not American (Bransford, really?!) and piqued my distrust... Found this thread and sent her an email back telling her that I would be reporting the transaction to PayPal and the authorities.  Thanks for posting your experiences... no telling what I was saved.

I have been in communication with Susan Bransford regarding the purchase of a 2006 Corvette Z06 with under 27K miles for $21,500.  Her emails to me are carbon copies of what I've been reading in this forum.  The number she wants me to call her at is 402-557-0375.  The address she provided is 306 S. 95th St., Omaha NE 68114.

I received a PayPal invoice and Buyer Protection via email that, at first glance, makes everything seem legit.  I tried calling the PayPal Customer Support Center at  the number provided in the email, 877-278-9167 and got a generic greeting stating the person I was trying to reach was unavailable and to leave a message.  This was very suspicious to me and I decided to dig.

I then received a voicemail from an Indian male claiming he was from PayPal.  He wanted to go over the details of the transaction.  The number he left for me to call is 877-278-9067 but the caller ID showed 661-584-4136 out of Mojave, CA.

Thankfully, I did my research and commend all those posting on this site.  It goes to show you that, with a little due diligence, we can protect ourselves.

Be advised, these type of scams aren't just for personal profit.  They are also used to fund terrorism.  I work for DoD and have been in the Middle East for several years now.  Make no mistake, terrorists utilize these very schemes to fund their activities.

    For what it's worth...

I got the same for a 2008 Mercedes GL.

Same stuff, different day.......   : )

Well, if we have ever tried to buy or sell on Ebay or craigslist, this is going to happen.  Too bad people actually get sucked into this.

If you buy, buy with Visa.  They have protection policies.  Please call Visa first though and check their limits.  It was helpful with one of my transactions.

    Thanks all and, stay safer!

she's selling an Audi Q 7 now too. OMG. She is quite active.
If it's too good to be true..... it probably is. If it weren't for my girlfriend being suspicious I would be out of a lot of money right now.  I love you baby!

I will keep driving the old car ):
I saw the ad and and asked my boss about it. He said he would buy it if didn't.  Something just didn't seem right so I googled Susan Bransford and to my shock found this site.  Thank you everyone for posting about this fraud.  Sadly it must be working for them. I hope they get caught!!!

This person now goes by Alvin Green and this is the email they sent me

    Hello ____,

Sorry for my late reply, I was in the hospital. The car It’s in perfect condition, with no need for additional repairs, no scratches, dings, special marks whatsoever, never been involved in any accidents. The interior looks great (NO SMOKING). It has 19,856 miles and a clear title. My asking price is $16,500. I'm selling the car at this price because I'm waiting for a liver transplant. (I'm very busy with the hospital doing detailed check up and preparing for the transplant and that doesn't leave me too much free time) that's one of the reasons why I've decided to sell it over the Internet and not to a dealer.
I want the transaction to be handled by FPS Amazon.
I've had a buyer before but his loan was not approved and I lost about 2 weeks and a lot of money with the shipping so no loan deals!
Let me know if you want more photos and the CARFAX report.
If you're interested and you have the funds available, email me back to explain you all the details about how we can close the deal.

    Respectfully,
    Alvin Green

i then respond back and said

I am interested and would like a CarFax report.  I live in sacramento and I know your are near me.  Can we set up a place to meet so I can see the car and inspect it?  If everything checks out I am looking to buy it very soon.  Please let me know if we can do this.

    then he responded back saying

I've attached more pictures and the carfax report. The car is now located in Bryn Mawr, PA in my garage. Due to the fact that I'm in Denver at my sister awaiting the liver transplant, I'll not be able to come to do the deal in person so the only way we can proceed with the transaction is thru Amazon FPS. (http://www.fpsamazon.com/).
Let me tell you how the process works:
Once I have the confirmation that you are a serious buyer and have the money available, I'll send the keys from my garage to Dependable Auto Shippers so they can pick up the car from my garage and ship it directly to you. I'll support the shipping costs don't worry. Amazon FPS will hold and secure the money during the entire transaction and will release the funds to me only after you decide to keep the car; during the inspection period you can check the car at any dealership. After you inspect the car you must confirm to Amazon that everything is ok so they can release me the money. The title is in the car, already signed by me so you can easily do the title transfer on your name. I would appreciate if you don't use all 10 days for inspection. If you agree and have the money available then we can get started immediately.

If you decide to advance with the transaction I will need your full name, shipping address and phone# to register the transaction at http://fpsamazon.com/index_5A20EF06.php

    Respectfully,
    Alvin

    I then go on saying
    Hello Alvin,

How come on Cars.com it showed that the car was in pleasanton california now you say its in Bryn Mawr, PA?  I never dealth with fpsamazon.com before.  And for me to buy a car without looking at it is kind of a red flag.  This is a great car that is obviously priced way below blue book.  Something tells me red flag.

I am very VERY interested in purchasing it but too many red flags.  If you were to let me see the car or meet me I will buy on the spot.  I do have the money available.

    his final response was:
The thing is the the car was listed by a friend of mine from California in order to help me and instead of my address he put his address and the wrong phone number.
If this is a RED flag ok fine no problem.

    Sorry for wasting your time,
    Alvin

I stopped there.  He was wasting my time.  Thank you guys for this thread it saved me a lot of headaches and my wallet

    What I said first:

Hello! Was this car in any accidents? Is the title clear? Was there flood damage? Are there any problems with it? Thanks!

Not going to respond, as you all have said it is a scam attempt.

She did not call me, but I'm just warning anyone to stay away from this guy!

Susan Bransford is still trying to scam.  She has listed a 2008 GMC Yukon Denali in Grand Rapids, MI.  The vehicle is not there but in Omaha.  Same story, different day.  Thanks for all the posts.  It opened our eyes to the truth.  They need to look these people up and throw away the key.
