This number belongs to Providence Hospital collections department . I know a person who works there.

This is PMG ( Providence medical group ) It can be a phone call for many things, in this case for me returning my phone call

Agree with what Susan said - it's just a generic back line number. I received a call from my doctor's assistant to get some more info from me regarding a future appointment.

Got a call last night wanting to confirm that my husband is scheduled for a "procedure" next week.  They had the name and number right, but we live in Los Angeles, not Portland, and have no affiliation with Providence Medical at all.  Very strange!

This is a generic Providence number.  If you procedure is at a Providence facility (which there are a few in the LA area) then that is why you received the phone call.  I live in Washington State and receive calls from this same number regarding reminders for my medical appointments.  FYI most of the "pre-registration" for appointments and scheduled procedures is done through the Portland Regional Business Office no matter what state you live in.  You may just be getting a call from Portland for this.

No, I think you are incorrect. I have no upcoming appointments with providence And providence never calls being about bills that are due like this one did to me. They only send mail for bills and if you don't pay that's your problem. They don't initiate billing phone calls like this one did. By the way, I have the health insurance that just got hacked into with wide scale patient information data breach nationwide. That's why I think they recently began bothering me By phone. I am reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission and my state's Attorney General.

I think every person on here claiming it is a legitimate general number used nationwide for appointment reminders - IS ONE OF THE CRIMINALS INVOLVED IN THE SCAM.

Or it is scammers spoofing the legitimate number, which is to be expected if the scammers acquired information stolen from medical insurance companies. The scammers would be phishing to get people to give the scammers credit or debit card information to make fraudulent charges.

This # is a number that shows for ALL calls from a Providence Medical location.  I've just learned this from my friend who works at Providence Hospital off I-84 as she just called me and 503-215-8025 showed up which is not the # she was calling from.  This prevents people from calling back the # that called them as Providence wants you to call the main # of your clinic or health care facility.

It was Swedish Medical Center (Seattle) Business office calling regarding a bill. They had a "glitch" and weren't seeing my payments that I make every month. The lady was kind, apologized, and fixed the issue.

caller identified himself as a doctor with providence and had information of my date of birth, primary doctor ,and  my medical insurance. this sure feels like a scam. Has the providence computer system been breached????

Person who called asked for Dennis.  Hung up when I said she had a wrong number.  Very noisy in the background; I could barely understand her.
