Received this call from Providence to schedule a doctors appointment. I called the number they left in the voicemail not the number that showed up on the Caller ID

If it is Providence, why don't they leave a message.  If it is a HIPA thing, they can just leave a generic message.

Received call.  I always Google these numbers I'm not expecting calls from. One-time  the caller complained about the block and was an odd call/ message (headphone trouble, giggles) BLOCKED the call. But keeps calling @8am, then 8:15am somewhat often on weekdays only. I have a Providence doc and called the office to see if it was them but it wasn't and they knew about the the number not being a callback number. UNBLOCKED it just in case but I will  block it again if there's no message and proves to be unnecessary.

Providence Medical left voicemail to call an 800 callback number and confirm an appointment I have coming up next week.
Call originates from Oregon although I'm not there that is why I didn't originally answer the call and let it go to voicemail.

This number is not anything medically related. Call it you get another number then the first number gets discounted. Call the second number and it is an "investment firm" out of Newport Beach CA or so they say.

A missed call with no voicemail. I believe it be be a telemarketer.

I understand the concerns in todays tech savvy criminal world, but there really is no need for panic other than the annoyance of early morning or late night calls for appointment reminders or billing inquiries. I just received a call this morning after making a pre-op appointment just yesterday for Monday morning. Best advice for a solution is to call Providence medical group and explain your circumstances and that calls at the times they choose is unacceptable. Check the laws in your State that govern unsolicited calls first. I'm not positive if appointment reminders fall under the same legal category as telemarketers or collection agencies, but I know collection agencies are governed under strict guidelines for days and times allowed. Some States prohibit calls on Sundays all together. This is information from a temp position I took as a side job for extra income many years ago as a collection agent. Laws change but I believe they continue to change in favor on the recipient, not the caller. Many companies have one centralized number for all departments that will show up on caller ID to avoid call backs on personal lines. This includes an Oregon number calling Washington numbers.

Providence Medical Center wanting to make appointments for my children. Do any of you know how extensions on multi-line phone systems work? Apparently not.

I just got this call and voicemail. I do not answer phone numbers I do not know or receive voicemails, so I can only write these may be the same company.

This number is quite clearly a scam, do not give them your information. Every comment that justifies the number is part of the scam itself. Don't be an idiot and fall for this.

You really need to get a reality check Andrew.  I got a call from this number and they did leave a valid voice mail for Providence.  Although because you refuse to check into reality you will just say I am with the scammers too.  For everyone else, yes Providence does use a 503 area code for outbound calls.  This is because of the way the phone system is set up.  A voicemail will be left if they need you to contact them back.  If a voice mail is not left, check your mail in the next week to see if a letter from Providence was sent.  This is the normal procedure for them.

they called and wanted to confirm a medical appointment. They wanted my name and date of birth I asked them who I was since they called me. They refused to give me my name. I refused to give them information and asked for a number to verify who they were. they gave me a 855-360-5474 number. it's Providence hospital. so it appears it's a legit number as I called that number to confirm. I suggest you call your medical provider to be safe.

I'm a Providence patient and I just got this call initiated but then hung up. Googled it to find out what all that was about. Thank you people for doing the research! I'm guessing it was to confirm an appointment one of us has coming up tomorrow. Probably their automated appointment confirmation system messing up the call.

This is definitely a medical group. Not always a billing call though. I believe this is just their out-bound number so it could be a legitimate call you want to answer or it could be billing.

Three times in just a few minutes I got a call from this number. No answer the first time, so I didn't answer the other two times.  They don't leave a message.

Scam suspicion. Called 5 times today. Didn't leave a message. Hung up the first time I answered. I didn't answer the remaining calls. I dialed the number and the message says, "you have reached an INVALID number for Providence Health Services. The caller ID is not from our company.

It's a prank call !!!. Caller hang up when I pick up  the call. Call back get message saying the phone # has been disconnected.
