I have been getting calls also from that number stating that "This is a call from your cable company and if you have any questions  call 1-505-647-9618".  I did call that number and the number is out of order.. Since than I had two messages same number. I hope more people read these postings because it is a pain.

I called charter about the calls from 505-647-9618 and they promised to stop the calls. we'll see.

I get 3 calls a day and either it is an automated message telling me to call 505-647-9618 or it just hangs up when i call. I called the CEO/owner of the company, who was shocked i had his direct dial number. (thanks to JeremyH's posting) and he was very apologetic and was having me removed from their internal list. They do get contracted by my cable company, Charter, but he was not aware of the way the automated system was working (of course Jeremy has already spoken to him, i guess he forgot). regardless he was going to have me removed from his list and Charter's list. He said in 5 years Charter will add me back onto their list, so be aware. . .  anyways, for those of you who have not seen Jeremy's posting the owner's name is Travis Bowley at 505-647-9618.

called twice today, i get a recorded message saying this is my local cable company, for more information call back. the call is from 410 774 8191, but directs me to call 5056479618

i too worked in telemarketing for a short time- i quit because of the ethics (or lack thereof) involved. the people who work for these companies have no conscience. dont tell me to just hang up, its not that hard. REALLY? i see it from both sides. and there is no excuse for calling people multiple times a day and laughing because they get upset. i personally get at minimum two calls a day from this number, as well as two calls a day from multiple other numbers. in all, i get a couple calls AN HOUR, and i AM on the do not call list, as well as the "internal do not call list" as you have put it. also, you havent checked the law in some time, have you? or you are just believing what your employer told you, either way you are misinformed. a business is only allowed to call you IF they have a CURRENT business relationship with you AND have a valid reason why they need to call you, such as being late on your bill, or an item that you had let them know you were interested in went on sale- the law DOES NOT ALLOW a third party company to make calls on their behalf, if a company wants to call you THE LAW SAYS THEY MUST DO IT THEMSELVES. therefore the national do not call list DOES apply to telemarketers, regardless of whether the company they are calling on behalf of has a business relationship with said customer. you really should brush up on the law before you start calling us whiners..........

I got this call today from "Your Local Cable Company" an automated message,and the number that it tells me to call back is 505-647-9618.I see a bunch of postings on here saying it's Charter.I thought it was coincidental that I got another call after it from 202-800-5566.That time my caller ID said it was Charter but they didn't leave a message,just "dead air".I did report that number here in the forum as well.I am going to alert Charter about these calls and tell them to quit calling.I am a customer and I know it's not a debt collection because I'm up to date on my bill.I think it's weird because they usually leave a message on what they're calling about.
