They called me 8 times in one day

I did some research on Freedom Ring and Bay Ring Communications. They ARE NOT the telemarketers. They provide business phones and services, just like AT&T, Verizon, MPower, etc. Businesses who need multiple phones, multiple phone numbers, high speed internet, and other telecommunications services, contract with a company who can best meet their needs. Whoever the telemarketer who also uses the identity of "Home Security G" with phone #508-475-1968 is, they bought their system through Freedom Ring instead of Verizon or some other company. If you have a Dell computer, get your internet from ATT&T, and then get hacked, does that make either of them the hacker? That is the connection you are making

I stopped the calls from 508-475-1968, Home Security G. I told them I wasn't a home owner and lived in an apartment. This disqualifies me from the market they are trying to reach because their home security clients can't make money on long term security system monitoring off of apartment tenants.

Keep Calling but wont  except calls isn't there a law?

Receiving several calls from this number daily

This company called my cell phone and proceeded to tell me that he got my number from one of their online partners.  I don't think so, I never use my cell number when doing anything online.

Yup...I think it's time to add this # to my block list. They called me yesterday at 2:20pm and today at 11:22am and 1:58pm. Sick and tired of receiving calls from #'s I don't know and they NEVER leave a message!

Receiving calls just about daily, early in the mornings (from this number) from "Tom, from 'Home Protection".  I just hang up on him, but it's a major annoyance to even get these calls...we are on the Do Not Call list!!!

Have had numerous calls from this # on my cell phone.  Finally, last week I answered it.  A man identified himself from Protection Plus (or one).  I quickly told him that this number does not accept solicitation calls and he apologized and said he would take care of it.  Well, then yesterday I received 5 calls from the same number, and then this morning they called again .  I was so mad and told the man that I will report them, because I already told them not to call me last week.  Now... ready for this one... they called me again this afternoon!! Yep.  Filed complaint, but not sure what else I can do.  They also use (603) 214-3668

Am receiving numerous calls from this company

I have been doing a lot of review of these cellphone telemarketing scams and here is the background of what has been found.

Most of these numbers are from wholesale VOIP companies that are "rented" by a company named TM Caller ID (http://www.tmcallerid.com/ and referred to as TM from this point forward).  This is why you will find that these numbers flow to companies called Freedom Communications, LLC and Digitcom.  These telephone providers are pretty slimy in their own right as they should not sell to TM, but they don't.  I suspect a lot of money is flowing to the providers.  TM is a company owned and operated in Portland, OR by a Fred Accuardi (fred@telephonemanagement.net), along with what appears to be his family members.  TM is a middle man company who provides gateway calls to end telemarketers.  They will field the complaints, but they will also claim that they are not violating any laws since they are simply providing the network.  Quite a business model, but it will only go so far....

TM does indeed have quite a legal team behind them.  They have numerous open complaints in the State of Oregon:

TM has 6 cases, of which 2 are still open and the rest have been closed. Fred Accuardi appears to be listed as ESQ, which implies he is perhaps a lawyer? But he seems to know how to get around the legal system.

Apparently the cellphone companies have had enough and decided to attempt to sue TM and their telemarketers that they represent (such as Dealers' Warranty, LLC).  In September 2010, CELLCO PARTNERSHIP D/B/A VERIZON WIRELESS AND ONSTAR, LLC PLAINTIFFS, v. DEALERS WARRANTY, LLC, ET AL., DEFENDANTS occurred in US District Court of NJ as a Federal lawsuit.  A detailed description of the case can be found here:

The plaintiffs assert that this Court has specific jurisdiction over Defendants premised on Defendants having "admittedly supplied at least twenty-two ANIs that facilitated the making of at least 2,392,251 illegal Telemarketing Calls, at least 329,725 of which were made to New Jersey area codes."

However, Fred Accuardi seemed to be able to get the case dismissed claiming jurisdictional issues surrounding TCPA, 47 U.S.C.A. § 227. Verizon was allowed an amended complaint within 10 days, but there is no information on whether that occurred or not (at least not publicly).

At this point it is a matter of time before they get hit with the TCPA.  I called my local US Attorney's office and have a meeting set up with them next week as they are interested in discussing this.  TCPA is a criminal statute under US code and it dove tails into other criminal sections such as 18 U.S.C. § 371 Conspiracy to commit offense or to defraud United States, USC 47 § 1029. Fraud and related activity in connection with access ­devices, USC 63 § 1343. Fraud by wire, radio, or television, USC 63 § 1342. Fictitious name or address, USC 63 § 1341. Fraud and Swindles, USC 63 § 1344. Bank fraud, and USC 47 § 1028. Fraud and related activity in connection with identification documents, authentication features, and information.

The mere fact of knowingly or willfully conspiring in this activity makes Fred Accuardi liable with the following penalties: USC 113a § 2326. Telemarketing Enhanced penalties, which will give him up to a 10 year prison sentence and quite a fine.

Its great that there may finally be criminal action as this is a completely different ball game for Fred and his family to defend against.  I am going into this as a witness as I have kept a record of the calls they have made (Thanks to Asterisk PBX and Google Voice) as well as recorded their robo calls.

This is the SHADY call center claiming to be HOME SECURITY GROUP which is not a registered company name, only a call center for Direct Marketers like The OTO Group 5952 Wilderness Dr New Albany,OH 43054 (614) 245-4925 Owner Mark Anzalone. They buy peoples number's off lists sold by unscrupulous companies that gather people's number's then sell them on lists bought by Direct Marketing - Telemarketers. Their wanting to put a sign in your yard or all you pay for is installation and you get a FREE Home Security System. They are affiliated with Home Security Alarm System companies like GE - Honeywell that then pass you along to security alarm companies that sell-install home security alarm systems.

NO MESSAGE.  Thanks for tip on Verizons block call list.

I answered the 1st one and got a hang up.  Persistently called 3 or 4 more times.  No msg left.

Seems like I've gotten three calls a day so far. VERY annoying...how do we make this stop!?

3x a day from this number so far - all week! Make it stop!

Yesterday I emailed BayRing Communications, the provider for these numbers.  I actually got a pretty quick response, and hope that this information will help the rest of you.  I do find it ironic that this asshat company (who is breaking the law) is protected by privacy laws, yet my privacy can be violated, but whatever.  This was the following email I got:

We have received your email. You are correct in your statement that we are simply the service/dial tone provider for the majority of these numbers. We are a telephone and internet service provider, just like AT&T and Comcast, and as their underlying service carrier, our company name comes up online when the numbers are researched. Unfortunately, due to national privacy laws, I am not allowed to release the name of the company that is using these numbers and placing these calls, as much as I wish I could!

We provide dial tone to 603-214-3679, 603-214-9021, 603-214-3668, 508-475-1968, 978-570-2447, and 978-570-2446.

We do not provide service to the other three numbers. These appear to be West coast numbers so I tried to research them online and it looks like their underlying carriers are Pacific Telecom Communications Group and Western Wireless Corporation.

What I can offer in regards to the numbers that we service that are constantly calling you is the number to the Compliance Department that has been set up to specifically help people remove their numbers from this company’s calling lists. When calling this number, you will reach a live person who will work with you to make these calls stop- it will not result in more calls! That number is 855-226-2444. Also, if you don’t mind providing the number that they are calling, I will send a message on your behalf to further ensure that the calls stop. I can also include your original message within mine so they know how serious this issue is.

This 508 # has been calling me for 2 weeks, up to 3x a day. This morning they have called me 3x between 8:46am and 9:15am, RIDICULOUS! I called back and listened to an automated person tell me to press 1 to be removed from their call list, it also said allow up to 72 hours for it to go thru. Hopefully this works.

Got a call from this number 3 times in the past hour. No message.
