My parents just received a call from this person. My parents are very very upset.

I just called our local police deparment and explained to them abouth this call. they are stating this is a scam. do not do anything for the person. I the Police department is calling you it will be a local area code in your home. Please watch out for the eldery people who might fall for this guy

I just returned home from hospital. Husband had major cancer surgery. Had a call on my machine from this Shaun Wright. Heartless [***] to do this to anyone! Like we need a scare like this at this time. I will report this and this number.

First he was trying to be threatening and scary.  Anytime an officer calls they always i.d. themselves and what agency they are calling from.  He did not, plus he was speaking in broken sentences. When I called back and asked why he was calling me (rudely) he asked if I was the such person. I told him yes and asked what he wanted?  He hung up on me and has not called back. He called on 8/8/15 around 1:30 pm. He is Indian with a deep voice, speaks good English. I have reported him to the local police department and online to report a call. Please do not fall for this crap. It may be scary and intimidating at first but ask questions that confuses them. Never give out personal information if they become rude and call you names hang up on them. Hope this helps!

I got a similar call today as all the ones discussed from this number. Funny thing to. I have been getting emails like this with an attachment I will not open because is looks malicious and I have no idea I should have any situation like this.

E mail is not a valid for of legal notification.  It appears that this is an IRS scam.  They only communicate via USPS.
Whatever you do, DO NOT open this attachments as they will install malware or viruses on your computer.  Simply relegate those e mails to the spam folder.

Call claiming me or my attorney needed to call officer Sean White back at 509-980-0332. Obviously a scam!

I ignored the call but they left a voicemail requesting an urgent call back.  I then checked the number online an learned of the scam.

Automated message saying that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me and that this was their final notice.

I received a call today from this number saying the IRS was taking legal action against me and I should call them back immediately. Very grateful for the posts here that confirm it is a scam.

These are scammers. Having dealt with the IRS in the recent past, I can assure you they do not contact you in this way. They will write you letters until the inevitable heat death of the universe before they call you with this 1999 Bonzi Buddy sounding robot voice and demand payment. If they do decide to take action, they go straight to the court of the county in which you live (or lived when they last had your location) and just file suit.

These are actually US felons operating in Haiti, with a redirect via Washington State.  Laugh at them. snarl at them. Just don't follow their instructions or malarkey.

As above, the (recorded), caller left a message stated that the "IRS is filing a lawsuit against you" call 509-288-4987. repeated # a couple of times. Caller was a woman, who faltered reading the script.
Of course, since it was a recorded message, Shmadee no reference a case # to refer to, or any other identifying info. Homeland security should be notified. False representation of governmental authority is a crime, even if some words aren't entirely as an agency's headline on official stationery would read, or using language that implies that someone is a government employee. In this case, its some kind of emotional terrorism, elder abuse, and fraud, undoubtedly more there. Even if the call is ignored,  they don't get the info they're phishing for, or payment for fake services.
Report this call to your telephone company. In fact, report ALL calls si that they have to do something, cancel telephone services, etc. . .
