this number said it's the IRS who are trying to sue me.

This phone number just called me as well, saying that the IRS is filing against me to sue. For what, no idea because it only says to call them back.

Two calls in 2 hours. VM didn't catch the beginning of the robot message either time, just got "before the suit is filed, call...". Caller ID = Spokane, WA.

Certainly scammy.

Robo type call msg. Same msg as everyone else.  $$ owed, warrant being issued for arrest, call back or else.   I went to the IRS website - and made a fraud report.  You can call (IRS Fraud Hotline) 1-800-366-4484.  IRS also has a website for reporting these types of calls:  www.TIGA.gov.

thx for info... couldn't get thru to number... Got also call saying that IRS is filing lawsuit against me and to call that number 509-... for info. I do not want to call that number, ... was a little worried at first, cause last year is first year I have not filed a return, but that's because I'm unemployed (because of depression I quit job 2yrs ago) and have not had any income at all.... living out of savings, hoping it will last until I can file for social security in 2  yrs.
last year my Mom died in Germany, been like dead and depressed for the last year and a half...., trying to get back to life..., the only money I received is a few thousand that my brothers transferred to me from Germany from my Mom's small inheritance...  but I researched online and it said that such inheritance from death of Mom is not taxable...

hi K.Coleman, I may be depressed and unemployed...., but I have some common sense and I too don't think this is real IRS but rather a fraud, don't think IRS contacts you this way, but rather by mail... so I'd suggest not to call them and SURELY DO NOT PAY ANY MONEY TO ANYONE!!!, until you verify this by calling an offical legitimate IRSnumber!

they have a warning out for telephone scams, and if you wanna report such fraud calls, do so at : TIGTA  at 1-800-366-4484 !!!  (I tried calling there, but recording says they're swamped with call volume)

Got 2 calls from this number. Left message on machine saying it was IRS. They were filling charges. How stupid! Everyone knows IRS will not call and only contacts by mail.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

robot call says IRS is sueing me, wants me to call back immedialy ---scam

Received phone message stating the call was the final notice before IRS filed suit against me, without identiying me by name.  I assumed it was a scam, but tried calling the IRS to see what they knew about the phone number (509-315-1174).  Of course, I couldn't get through to the IRS.

Got a call from this number claiming to be from the IRS and wanting to sue me over income matters.  Claimed to be Mark and was going to give me his Federal ID #.  Guy was probably from India with bad accent.  This is a SCAM from a bunch of idiots.

received a call at 11:17, but the recording had already started, it said," case filed. Call 5093151174."  No clue what it is about. My report says call is coming from Washington state.

Just got that same message. Must be a scam. Called back but there was no way to leave a message and no auto message menu guide.
