Automated machine stating the IRS is going to sue me if I don't call this number back

I got an automated voicemail from this number stating that I was being sued by the IRS

Same as the others. It has called me 3 times today, even when I answer it is the same automated message.

Same, as the others. Saying legal action has been filed against me from the IRS

Man with a foreign accent claims that IRS has filed a lawsuit and when I refused to have him read the lawsuit, they threatened to have me arrested.

Called from this number multiple times today. Caller is a computer generated voice, claiming to be IRS and that the IRS is about to file lawsuit against me.

FAKE!

The IRS does not start tax payment issues with a phone call, let alone the first attempts as phone calls claiming to file lawsuit against a person. When the IRS finds it must sue, they just do it. Many steps are involved before that decision, the least of which would be physical documentation delivered.

I am not sure what would happen if you call this number back, but I can imagine nothing good. The least problem you would have is your call-back number listed as a gullible recipient.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
