- KrisyThis number has been calling me all week between 7:45pm and 9:00pm. Usually don't answer calls that I do not recognize but tonight I decided to answer and there was nothing be silence on the other end. Hope they stop call
- AlexCalls between 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. every night except weekends, sometimes 2 times a night, nobody on other end
- CathyThey just called at 11pm! He had such a strong Indian accent, I couldn't understand a word he said but he got an earful from my husband!
- Caller: "Unavailable"
- CathyI worked in the telemarketing business, the usual reason for nobody on the other end is an autodialer. If they are all on calls when you answer, it will just disconnect. There should be a law, truth-in-caller ID.
- CJThey call all during the day & night & I am tired of it !! I do not answer if I don't recognize the number & they don't leave a message .
- Vickie| 1 replyI just got a call from this # 512-229-0039 it's 10:51pm. I also do not answer call's from #'s I don't know of course there was no message. I hope they don't call again cause they won't like what they hear.
- Shannon| 1 replyTelemarketer?? at 11:25 pm!! Really?!
- Call type: Telemarketer
- JustinCase replies to ShannonTelemarketer more concerned with getting an answer than anything. It's within business hours in the Middle East-- good possibility where the calls are coming from.
- S.A. GremillionThe number 512-229-0039 continues to call my cell phone mornings and nights with silence on the other end when I answer. I would like them to stop calling me.
- C.H.Some is calling every night around 9pm -11pm every night. When I decide to answer there's no one on the phone.
- lizabetlyo13It seems nearly impossible to stop these calls. The Do Not Call Registry is obviously a joke. First, you can explore your landline account. There may be an option to block calls during certain hours. Should also be able to do this on cell phones. For the small number of people who need to be reached at night (such as by teenage children) have them text you and set your phone to ping your for your select group of VIP numbers. Consult your service provider's website or customer service team for help. I work at home, so have the problem 8-5, one solution on my landline is answer the phone and immediately depress "mute." Whether a computer or a person, they'll hang up w/in 20 seconds, and am hoping they'll stop calling after several tries. OR, try reporting to the FTC, and maybe one of the sorry bureaucrats will talley up complaints related to certain numbers.
- Caller: 512-229-0039
- DI love the call blocking feature on my phone, but hate the fact that I seem to add a new number weekly. Even though I am on the no call registry. 512-229-0039 is the latest.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- MichaelI've received this call number quite a few times. I don't like answering the phone when I don't recognize it. I'm also registered with the no call registry and yet they still come in.
- Call type: Prank
- Anthony Zweiner replies to VickieCorrection - They actually will enjoy what they hear. I met a person who manages a boiler room full of telemarketers, so I asked how he's able to find people willing to do such a thankless job. He replied, "EASY! I look for people with lots of tattoos, piercings, spiked hair, etc - anything that says they don't give a damn what anyone else thinks of them." It doesn't bother them one bit to hear you say NO!... For them it's a challenge to keep coming back and trying harder. He told me these people believe in their hearts that the world hates them already so in a way they're getting the world back - and nothing pleases them more than hear you get upset and swear a lot at them... It just reinforces their preconceived view that the world hates them. They hear your angry language as you saying, "You're right!"
So the way to deal with them is to tell them they are wrong by telling them Jesus loves them and ask them to hold on a minute while you go get your Bible to share some Good News with them... If all of us did that, the telemarketing industry would collapse within a month. - WayneI just received my first call from this # same no message didn't answer either on my cell about 5 minutes ago.
- Caller: DON'T NO
- joshThey call all the time. I believe if you ordered a product online such as generic drugs from india they will call you to try to sell you something.

- Adam| 1 replyThe caller i.d. had the name Elgin - 512-229-0039. The message was from an old biddy, likr a grandma, asking for me by name...Adam....Adam....Adam....Adam...are you there? very weird, since she knew mt name. Don't know Elgin, or the number which ius from Texas.
- Tamianth replies to AdamConsider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.
