- Bill in Orlando replies to davidI am being asked first to send their agent in Austin, Texas, a person so far unknown to me, an up-front fee of nearly $300 in order to get their funds. They want the fee to be paid via Western Union before they transfer funds to me. On Western Union's web site, it is posted to beware of possible scams like this where the recipient of up-front fees promises to do something in return, like sending you money or making a loan. I asked Western Union if they had a Consumer Protection program, and they responded "NO". It's up to the sender to check out the recipient. I checked out the email address of another agent asking me for info, and found him to be in Atlanta, GA. This is a long way from the Austin, TX suburb of Georgetown, where this telephone number traces to as a cell phone and is not identified as being Zenon Financial Intl. I've called this number numerous times asking for more info about who they are and their address, but I only get return calls with no messages. Google searches for Zenon Financial Intl yield no results for any such company in Texas. I can only say be careful when dealing with the people associated with this number and company. Beware of a scam no matter how nice they sound in their offers. I have NOT received a loan from them.
- Bill in Orlando replies to daviddavid, how did you find out that this number belongs to "Zenon Financial"? I have done and paid for reverse phone number look ups and all I get is my money back because the search turns up no information. I search this company name on the internet and this search turns up nothing.
- david| 2 repliesI also being asked Send money to the same person. by western union. it all seems to good to be true. the person I talk to.said he wored foe zenon financial. International. So when I google it There is no such place. I did tell him last time we talked. that I thought it was a scam. and he told me to meet him at his office in austin.tx. give me the address his place of businessis and that when I did he would have the money ready. but to be honest. I don't trust him. that's what I'm doing my homework. I wish I knew someone. in austin. to go check it out for me in person. I would pay them. to know for sure.
- Brad replies to david| 1 replyDavid, unfortunately I am looking for money and lets face it, this si a huge red flag...upfront fees. The guy hasn't even asked me about my employment or ability to pay them back, or anything anormal lender would want to know. This smells of a Nigerian boiler room scam. If anyone talks to them live...listen for a Nigerian accent. I would not send anyone (especially from craigslist) anything upfront. I am emailing him now that I will not pay upfront but will gladly pay twice a smuch profit to them on the back end. I'm sure he will turn that offer down.
- david replies to BradYes I understand. And feet the same as you. About it all.I but I did fill out a loan app. I told him I would meet him I'm person in Austin. Before I paid him anything. He said ok. . But yhat being said. It still stinks
- adviceHello People/ Beware of People who ask for upfront fees to be paid via western union or moneygrams.. now if they let you pay via credit card like paypal you are protected because you can reverse the charge...
there ARE legit sources out there and investment groups also some of them ask for a fee to do due-dillegance and background checks on the company or persons asking for the money but they take credit cards to protect you..
So YES beware NEVER send money via western union or moneygram believe me I have been scammed you will NEVER see that money again...
Good luck - Barbara from orlandoWhen someone ask for up front fees you can guarentee it is a scam. Usually when you get a loan any fees associated with the loan are deducted from the loan amount not asked for upfront. This is the case even if your credit is bad and you manage to find someone to give you a loan.

- Miranda Johnston| 1 replyAll, we are currently dealing with a craigslist scammer connected to this number. He sent us a cashier check from a Wells Fargo bank that doesn't exist (fake address) and for way more than the asking price on the item which he expected us to wire to him. In addition the check came from a company that is real but when we called them we were told they've received 10-12 calls already about forfeit checks under their company name and are taking legal action with this person. We've done a ton of investigating and I promise this is a scam whether it be a loan, craigslist ad, wiring money, etc. it's a scam!
