got a message from this number from a craigslist scammer below is typical of this type of scam.........

I want you to deduct the first month rent out of the money,and send
$1,850 via MoneyGram to the person in charge of the Car delivery.The
car will be delivered once they gets the fund.What time do you want
them to come for the delivery since they will be coming as soon as
they confirm the money sent to them.You are to get back to me with the
moneygram transfer information such as the amount sent in total,the
moneygram reference number.Thereafter,I'll forward the information to
the Car Dealer so as to proceed with the delivery of my Car.Below is
the dealership information where you'll be sending the funds to

I posted an ad on Craigslist for a roommate this past week. I received an email from a "Julia Harris" who told me I could text her at 512-348-6431. Her first email asked if the room was still open. I replied and said yes what timeframe were you looking to rent. She answered back a rather lengthy email describing her age, studies, lifestyle, and needing to secure a room for rent. She never gave a date and the email didnt flow right. I look up the number on here and apparently this number has a history of scams.. and this probably the most current method.

Also just got the same reply to a craigslist ad.

Today I got the same email reply to craigslist ad.

Do you know where I can get a loan for 5,000 no upfront fees.

James is a shill.. he is a scammer! If you need a loan, go to a local company or bank! Anyone that asks for money up front is illegal and a scam period!

Another red flag is get a green dot or similar card to pay up front!  And any place that uses a gmil,hotmail or any other such "free" email is not legit..

I have an ad for a room to rent and this was the number that sent me a text.  So I am not sure who it is now.

I got the same e-mail from Julia Harris!!!
from Idaho, and now she just asked me to provide my full name and full address so she can send me a payment for the first month rent....
just a waist of time.
so, if you receive the same e-mail from her, just delete it ..ignore it
