* UNIVERSITY of TEXAS ..... "The Horns were a miserable 4 for 17 from beyond the arc but ended up with a 50-30 advantage on the glass in their 31 pt victory over Navy in Austin as Gary Johnson recorded a double/double effort in the 497th career victory for Rick Barnes .."

* UNIVERSITY of ILLINOIS .... "Nice start to his collegiate career for Brandon Paul as he notched 18 pts in leading the Illini to a 79-65 victory over UC-Irvine .... all 18 pts for Paul as a result of his 6 for 8 effort on his 3 pt field goal attempts ..."
