Got a letter from Nielsen with a 1 dollar bill in it.  Because I don't do surveys, I sent them a letter with the dollar bill enclosed telling them not to call.  5 days later I got a call from Nielson, did not answer.  Phone number is now blocked.

You should have kept the dollar.  Legally it was yours to keep as it came in the mail unsolicited.

I have received yet another call from 513-696-1920, CID says Neilson. They have called me at least once a day for the last two weeks. I have answered, and I have not answered. They have left messages and they have not left messages. Last night's call was the last straw though, at 10:00 PM!! "I'm sorry for calling so late. We have been trying to reach you." I "informed" her it was because I was not answering and I did not intend to answer their survey. I also informed her of how ridiculous it was to be calling at 10:00 at night. I also told her to stop calling. We shall see. WHEN. WILL. IT. END????

Since surveys are not regulated they can call that late.  If they continue to call, send them a certified, return receipt letter telling them that they have no TCPA permissions to call your number.  Tell them that you want them to send you a written copy of their do not call policy they are required to have and to furnish by law.  If the calls continue after that then sue them for at least $500 per call or more.

Just a follow-up call on the mailer that they sent out. The caller did leave a message and was very polite.

Just called home phone.  We answered too late, nobody there.  Just as good, because we don't want whatever they have to offer.  Blocked from now on.  We get one short ring on blocked calls.  As we relax in our lounge chairs, we have fun guessing which telemarketer it was.  It's usually one who has called 6 or 8 times in last two days.

The money and company are real. They do surveys on tv and radio. They give a few dollars prior to doing survey or keeping diary for a week on what you watch on tv and what you listen to on the radio. Once you send diary back with your info recorded on paper they then send additional money to you.

I can agree with this. I too have received money through Nielsen group. And they tend to happen randomally too. They've sent me money at least twice in the past 5 years but I have moved a lot in those 5 years. It only take a few minutes a day to fill out the radio diary they send you and when you mail it back they will give you money for each diary you complete and mail back in the allotted time given. That's it. Nothing to buy or sell and all you have to do is list the radio stations you listen to when and where. This is how the tv and radio stations get their ratings.

Watch out.  They dangerous ones.  Yessir.  I dealt with one before and I wasn't too kind after the robot got angry.

I get a letter from Nielsen every year or so.  I remove the $1, put it in my church offering, toss the letter, block their phone calls.

So, 30 calls in 4 days (I counted). Too bad they are blocked and I have first ring silent so I never see them until I check the phone...LOL!

They are real, I have done several of their surveys.

Calling daily...and after 8pm.  I don't care if it's Nielsen.   Stop calling outside of business hours.   Stop calling if I'm not answering.
