How do you block a number?

Don't be a dumbA*, don't answer any phone call with a number that begins with a zero after the area code.  There are NO valid phones that begin with zero.  WISE UP and be smarter than these butt hooks.

I received a call from this number on 02-28-15. No message. Scammers from Canada !

Caller ID is easily faked. Unless there is a city called 'Canada' in India or Pakistan, don't bother looking north of the border.

not an accepted number make up. so my best bet is not to answer. i'm not so lonely that i'd talk to anything

Another call from those infamous scammers... caller ID says card services.  This time a different number on caller ID, but the scam is still the same!

ISIS or another terroists, these people should be hung from the highest tree!

Received call from this number and believing it to be another scam call still decided to answer. After the robo caller transferred the call to another caller and told him up front that the call would be recorded and then submitted to the FCC and the FBI. He said why ? I responded that I believed it to be a scam call from a credit card scammer. He said why don't I just transfer the call to the FBI or set a tracer on the call. I told him I believed it to be scam call and preferred to submit my claim to FCC and FBI directly. He said he was definetly not a scammer and how could I know he was. Imasked him to give me his telephone number which he objected to but then gave me an 800 number which differed from the number that called. I asked then for him top give me his physical address. He said why didn't I just do a tracer on the call. I said it would most be inaccurate and asked to be removed from his calling list. When I asked again for the physical address he hung up.
My firm conviction is that this was another scam call and probably from an address outside the U.S.A. If a call similar to this is repeated, I will use the same process of disposing of the call. Beware of these kinds of callers for they are a slick and cunning gang of hustling criminals that have no conscions.

Got my first call from this number. I did not answer. I have fairly good luck by filing a report with my state no call list.
I'll try it with these yahoos and see what happens.

Untrue. Info can be stolen from your phone just by answering.

caller said he was from cardholder services and kept talking over me when I kept asking him what bank.  Then when he realized I wouldn't drop it he told me to shut the f&ck up bit@h.  Then he hung up on me.   What low lives.  That number is now blocked.

Some people are foolish enough to give their credit card info over the phone when they answer the call. If you don't answer, they hang up and call the next person.

I received a call from 514-001-1000.  Moses mentioned I make regular payments and since I owe over $3k on all my credit cards combined I qualify to lower my apr.  It is interesting to note, I don't have $3k or over on my combined card totals.   told him unless he could beat my current 4% rate there was no reason to proceed.  He insisted it was an expired promotional rate (which it isn't).  When I mentioned I would contact my bank, he hung up on me in mid-sentence.

Recorded messages says the call is from "Cardholder Services."  There are no current problems with your account.  Press 9 to speak to an operator to learn how to lower your interest rate.  Your eligibility for this program expires soon!  You should consider this your last notice.

I've pressed 9 a number of times and asked to be removed from the call list.  The person on the other end is clearly calling from a call center as you can hear a number of  other people speaking in the background.  Very rude and argumentative.  Twice I've been told my number has been removed.  Obviously, it hasn't.  Still, I don't mind wasting these people's time -- maybe the time they take to yell at me means there is one less elderly person ripped off.

Received a call on my cell phone which is in the do not call list from 514 001-1000. I googled the number to find that its a big scam operation. I'm just going to delete the call.
