- Tired of Cardholder ServicesThis is a scam. They are vague on purpose and are trying to get your CC or personal info. I attempted to play along once and was asked for my CC as well as the security code, full name and SSN. When I gave them fake info they hung up. The number on the caller ID usually isn't a working number and it changes from time to time. I've lived in 3 different states and I've received these exact same pre-recorded messages in all of them. I have reported them to the FCC numerous times for DNC list violations, cursing at me, calling after 9pm etc, but there is nothing that can be done because they spoof the caller ID, and the calls originate in Quebec. I found this out when I pressed one to screw with them and yelled at the chick who answered. She cursed up a storm and then put a guy on the phone who said how much he'd like to "f*ck me in the a** hard" and how dumb "American women" are but that we all like it dirty. When I told him I had the caller ID he laughed and said, "that's not real and there's nothing you can do unless you want to drive up here to Quebec to see me."

- SaraThese folks call endlessly, from all sorts of numbers ... and it is a credit card scam. Seems impossible to stop them from calling. Ignoring the calls, unplugging the phone when they call, blocking numbers ... yelling at them ... nothing works. Last time they called, they identified themselves as "credit card services" ,and I said, you mean "criminal card services". Lots of swear words from them ... such lovely folks. They are simply criminals, who are looking to steal and harass. The thing that gets me ... is that there is NO way to stop such calls, and no one is shutting down an organization that is based upon criminal intent. There is NO enforcement of the DNC list, and the scammers are having a field day with it all. I suspect that they have called me around 100 times by now .... and wonder who in the world is keeping these folks in "business".

- PJGot another call from this number I asked which credit card and they hung up. I knew this is a scam as they call from different numbers all the time. Doesn't matter if you tell them you are on a do not call list or press 3 they still call. Reporting them again
- emieJust got a call from this number, didn't answer it and no message was left. The caller id said Montreal. A very good friend of mine from Montreal recently committed suicide and, therefore, this call freaked me out and upset me.
- Tom MCaller ID " Montreal PQ" number 514 800 9999
My machine recorded the entire message.
There is no reason to have a phone these days. I used to get calls like this maybe once a month. Now I've received over 50 calls like this in the last 30 days. Three today (as of 6pm EST).
Just amazing.
The solution? have the phone company only allow calls to you that are on a list you create yourself.
But that's not an option - so why bother having a phone at all?

- HurricanewgRepeated calls “we can lower your credit card rate” etc, or no message. 514-800-9999 number "located" in an office building/apartment complex in Montreal, QC. In doing research, due to my 83 year old Mom getting scared to death with a "grandson scam" from phone number 1-514-562-8106 ext 119, 570-884-5102 (lost $2000), I have found that this physical location is host to perhaps 100's of phone scam operations. I guess that this probably is just a server that bounces numbers for the criminals. Here's my big question " the Canadian Government knows about this, WHY DON"T THEY DEAL WITH IT???????" The Montreal Police Department is getting tired of me calling.....but guess what....these SOB's hurt my Mom and I wouldn't stop until something is done about it!
Please if you have been subject to any scam from the 514 area code, call Montreal PD and don't stop calling until this is dealt with. Yes, I know, the bad guys will just get a new area code, but a least we can make more difficult for them to prey upon our families and friends.- Caller: Many scams
- CarigisThey are not located in montreal. The use SPOOFED phone numbers , if one thing is for sure.. they are not in the city they are using as thier phone number.
Please Get the address and post it of you can.. If someone uses your credit card number to ship goods under your name, call the retail outlet and ask them to verify the address they sent your package too, and post that here. (its prob a mail drop or an abandoned or rented empty house) but its a start.

- PhilSame as many others reporting here. Did not give name. Wanted to lower interest rate. Do you have a credit card balance over $4,000. I said what card? She said: VISA, MasterCard or Discover. I told her I don't even have all of those cards. Voice by the way, was Indian or Pakistani. I asked what the last 4 numbers were. She could not tell me until I 'confirmed.' So I confirmed name, number, address. I said, Yes I HAD a credit card with >$4,000 but it was included in bankruptcy. I said, What are the last 4 numbers. She couldn't tell me until I "confirmed." I said, What do you want? I've already confirmed my name, number, address. She said, I'm sorry you are not cooperating and SHE hung up.
