- Clara HallBreitteny Haines calls asking for Calvin Duncan for Banking information. Her number is 866-627-9408
- Caller: Wells Fargo
- Call type: Debt collector
- stupid much? replies to Bob| 1 replyUmmmm PAY YOUR BILL!!!
- DENSE! replies to anonymousHello! They don't leave a message because they don't want to embarrass people by stating on their voice mail/answering machine for everyone else to hear that they are delinquent! DUH
I am sure you would be the first person to file a law suit if they did. - ninja replies to trappa| 1 replyThx. Didn't know who it was, why don't they just leave a message?!
- susansoireeI called Wells Fargo. This number is NOT a Wells Fargo number. These guys are phishing!!!!
- PearlI have received the same calls for a week now. I have also went as far as calling Wells Fargo Bank. I read several other stories with the same compliant. I was not about to change my phone number, instead I went to www.donotcall.gov and enter my phone number. Hopefully this will stop the calls.
- Caller: Wells Fargo Bank
- Doctor IrkedI just called into my work phone voicemail and was shocked that I received nine hang-up messages since Saturday, August 7, 2010 (today is Tuesday, August 10, 2010) from the 515-221-5645 number. I looked the number up on Google and found this listing of complaints. I then called the number back and spoke to a gentleman named Kendal, who said that it is Wells Fargo Card Services, however, I never gave him my name. He was trying to reach someone who worked there years ago and assured me that the number would be taken off of their list. I can understand if a person owes a creditor money and the company is trying to recoup it, however, to repeatedly call a number and hang-up instead of leaving some sort of a message is harrassment and utterly annoying. This is especially true if the recepient of the calls does not have or ever had an account with that creditor.
- Caller: "Wells Fargo Card Services"
- Dan replies to ninjaNot sure how many harrassment numbers that Wells Fargo has but here are three that I get daily:
515-221-5654 515-221-5645 and 800-241-0046.
I have told them many times and even written a letter to their president stating that my number is not the party that they are trying to find. I've even called our phone company, Qwest, asking for help.
Their president is:
Mr. John Stumpf
Chairman, President and CEO
Wells Fargo
420 Montgomery Street
San Francisco, CA 94104
You might try writting him but I didn't get any response. Qwest will sell me a service that allows me to block up to 15 numbers or the other option they gave me was to change my telephone number. I think I'll just cancel the land line and stick with my cell number instead.
Obviously, I won't be doing any business with Wells Fargo. - commonsensemuch! replies to guest| 6 repliesIt's not a scam dummy. They want you to pay your BILL. Why do they want your info? Because they have called you before. Now when you call back, you can be any of their customers, therefore they must know your info so they can look up your specific info DUH! They also don't leave messages due the simple fact that your financial issues are personal. They figure you don't want some other person hearing a message meant for you telling you to pay your bill!
- goodquestion replies to commonsensemuch! If no one at the number has a Wells Fargo account and the calls persist, I guess that makes the caller the dummy. You seem to be under the impression that the only options a caller has is to leave a message with personal information, or not to leave a message at all. You also seem to be under the impression that the call recipients are too ignorant to know which bills they owe. Maybe that makes you the dummy, or maybe you're just one of the phishers trying to perpetuate the harassment.
- majaWe got calls from them non-stop for about 2 weeks. We are NOT delinquent on any accounts with Wells Fargo. They don't leave a message because they are not legitimately with Wells Fargo. We contacted our personal representative at Wells Fargo and she informed us that there were no satellite offices in Des Moines with this phone number that represent Wells Fargo. It isn't rocket science, it's just a new scam. If you do actually talk to someone, they tell you they are calling about your account, but before they can give you any further information, they require YOU to give them the account number, social security number, date of birth, etc. Get the picture? Scam artists.
- The TruthIT IS A SCAM, THEY ARE PHISHING FOR ACCOUNT NUMBERS. DON'T GIVE THEM ANY INFO.
- Caller: Wells Fargo
- Katherine Faust Sloan| 2 repliesI have asked these people over and over NOT to call me at work but they keep calling!! I have gotten 4 calls from them today in the last hour.
- Caller: Wells Fargo
- Call type: Debt collector
- Katherine replies to Katherine Faust SloanMy account was screwed up in the Wachovia - Wells Fargo merger and I can't get them to research it over the phone to fix the problem. Seems that the people that are calling me do not have the capability to fix the problem - or so they say. I think its just plan ol'laziness.
- Right way to respond replies to commonsensemuch!Your response is not very nice and very quick to judge. How would you know it was someone wanting you to pay a bill since the caller id is UNKNOWN or a ciy, state? Most people don't answer calls from UNKNOWN of which I don't blame them. If it was a collection agency then they should be leaving a voice mail stating they are calling from Wells Fargo. The person who posted was asking a question because they didn't know not asking for someone to be critical. I am sure that if you posted a question you would not appreciate being responded to in the same manner than you just did.
- Carol ThumbergWe are getting calls from this number on a regular basis and want it to STOP
