Called my cell, unknown number, no message.

No one on line when answered. In state spam call. Ugh.

Received a call from this # on my cell and sent it to vm. A guy left a message saying he was calling me about the William D. Ford Act which I Googled and it is a federal loan program by the US Dept of Education.  But, I still figure it's a scam using that program name as I do not have any student loans and never have!

Unsure but keeps calling.

He does have something to contribute.  He is showing you how many people across the US is getting calls from this same number and this number hangs up.  You don't need to be a scientist to figure it's a spam caller

Call from this number to my cell phone.  Says it came from Des Moines, IA...I do not answer calls I do not recognize.  No message left.  Blocked the number.  Gotta love the ability to do that!!

Called just now. I asked for Corporate Address three times and he hung up. Evidently he did not want to play.

called my cell# and i was on other line, said Des Moines, IA, dont know anyone in IA (thank goodness) scammers.

THis number called a BUSINESS at 1120am/1221pm, it IS a ROBO caller, pressing one gets you hung up on if lines are full.  Please report these #'s to the FCC.  Just google complaint FCC, follow the instructions.

So...respond to somebody...complain that they provided no information...provide no information yourself. Why bother if YOU have no information to contribute?

No company name was given, but the Caller ID listed that the call was from Des Moines, IA. They called me and I answered, it sounded like a live person who spoke very carefully, almost like a recording. Mentioned something about student loan debt forgiveness. I hung up before I heard any further considering it's an out of state number for me, plus my student loans were paid off years ago. I don't recommend answering this call.

Called this morning. No message. I don't pick up unknown callers. I add them under ' hemorroids' and set them to go straight to voicemail. Pain in the [***]!

I just push blacklist on  my little back box and they are gone forever

Called, didn't answer, no voicemail.

I did answer. A man asking if I wanted to get my student loans forgiven said to press one if I wanted to continue and nine if I didn't. It was early and I'm dealing with my loans so like an idiot, I pressed one. The phone clicked over like it was going to another line and then disconnected... now what.?

I know I messed up. But exactly  how bad did I mess up; that's the question

I wouldn't worry too much, as long as you didn't give any information to the caller. What you did do was confirm that you have a working number. Never answer unknown numbers and never call back.

Recorded message about my student loans qualifying...I hung up.  I do not have any student loans.

Getting a high rate of these calls last couple days

Called my cell phone yesterday, which is on the Do Not Call list.  I did not answer as I knew no one in that state.  No message left.  Obviously a scumbag robocaller.  Will file the usual Do Not Call complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, but I have previously filed over 180 of these complaints with no impact on the volume of calls I am receiving.
