Just got the text message on my cell that said (A L E R T) Call 1.5164530420   A R I Z O N A   F C U

So I called the number from my work phone (not my cell phone), and the message indicated I needed to reactivate my debit card, then asked for the card numbers.  Obviously, suspicious and a scam.  Will report it to Verizon.

I don't even belong to that banking system nor do I have anything to do with it they are using a computer to generate random phone numbers just stay away from it don't answer it pass the word along go about your business.

This is a phishing scam.  If you call the number they will tell you your bankcard has been deactivated and try to get personal info so they can steal your money and/or identity.  Arizona Federal Credit Union is aware of it and has the info on their website.  It says the text is from ARIZONA FCU but the text may have other bank names on it also.  Total scam, don't call them.

I don't belong to any credit union, I also received the "ALERT ARIZONA FCU". This site is great I use it to check any number I don't recognize.

I called the AZFCU they claim that the phone contacts did not come from them. I personaly do not see how that is possible. I also do not understand why the CU gets numerous complaints and knows this is a problem and does not even send out anything warning their customers. I also do not understand why the number is still active. This is a shame if it scams even one person and the CU should be doing more about it. I am listing the caller company just the way it shows up on my phone.

got a text that says [notice] call 15164530420 DIRECT EXPRESS and came from230025@vtext.com don't reply total scam

got a call from 516-453-0420 saying my debit card was temporarily limited due to technical error, then asking me to enter my card number.  Called my bank and they did not send this text.  This is a scam that I would like investigated.

Just got a text from them representing Direct Express Federal Debit Card ( benefit card for Veterans Administration) same B.S. they want your card number so they can empty your account.

Just received same text as reported by others....also in Arizona

Received the same text today.  Had a gut feeling it was a scam.  I too will contact my phone carrier about this.

Same here got a text 402025@vtext.com (NOTICE) Direct Express. Had no idea what it was, called the number back and it says that my debit card had been flagged and deactivated, to reactivate press 1. I hung up after that and called my bank (not AZFCU) verified nothing was wrong with my card. Afterwards realized, they never said what debit card or anything, not even sure what direct express is. But found the phone number here, hope no one falls for it.

Received the same text as mentioned previously.  Reported scam call to CU.

Just received a text.  I don't even live in AZ or have an account with FCU.  What a joke!  Don't ever give out info to anything like this.

Just got text: (NOTICE) Call 1(516)-4530420 DIRECT EXPRESS. Deleted immediately - gee, they never give up!

Scam...came through as an alert

All my Verizon phones just got the Direct Express message this morning.

I received a text message on 07/18/2013 12:55pm from [220393@vtext.com] that read "(ALERT) Call 1(516)4530420 DIRECT EXPRESS"

Just got a text ALERT Call 516-453-0420  DIRECT EXPRESS,  Based on the above I assume it is a scam.   I got a call yesterday from a 888-888-8888, also appears to be a scam.. I am just reporting in the event it assists someone.   I am not calling it ...

Got same alert, only it was for a shipping notice. I did have something being shipped, so I almost responded until I read all these comments on the number!

I received a text saying NOTICE Call 1(516)4530420 DIRECT EXPRESS. The message was from 812932@vtext.com. Looks like a scam to me so I did not call.
