- marshall| 4 repliesI received a text from this individual who stated that he was interested in purchasing itemsI had listed for sale sight unseen and having his mover come pick them up. He stated that he was sending me a check for the items and once the check cleared he would have his movers come pick the items up. He later sent me a message stating that his secretary had input the wrong amount on the check and to take it to my bank and cash it taking an extra 100 for my suffering and wire the remaining amount to his mover who would come and pick up the items. Sounds too much like a scam and his vocabulary and sentance structure was suspect.
- AlexHe has done the same with me. Said he wanted to by a car. Same thing sight unseen. Sent check and wants me to send him money back. typo
- Paul replies to marshall| 1 replyDefinitely a scam. Report his info to the FBI. The email address he also uses is: martinsbrown202@gmail.com
He sent me a check for $2,600 for a chair, wants me to wire him the balance via Western Union to Joe George at 610 W Mcmillan Newberry, MI 49868....
A complete scam.
The check he sent me is drawn on "The DMZ Forum Inc" , and its clearly a fake check. Same deal, his mover is coming to get the items etc. Blah blah blah. - Max| 1 replyStrikes again!!! Tries to get me to wire him money.
- Max replies to PaulDid u report to FBI? How do u report this type of fraud?
- Lorenzo replies to marshallHe tried to do the same to me today with asking me to pay the excess amount to the movers, but he used different names: Joe George, David King, Lynn Thelen. The bank name was legit, but the account was a fraud... I am trying to hunt him down, but it might be a ghost since I found some of the "alias" names on FB. The only thing is that they will not give me a phone number to reach them at and this brought a lot of doubt and raised too many flags!
- RBR replies to MaxHe found me on Craigs list. Wanted to buy my sofa. Got a slip in the mail to go pick up a letter at the post office that contained the check ...but there is postage due....What a dumb@**, least he can do is put the correct postage on it to mail it here....:)
- PTreeHe tried to buy 2 beds off me on Craigslist. Same thing keep $100 for an issues and wire the rest to Joe George @ 610 W McMillian in Newbury, MI. How do you report this?
- sylvia| 1 replyHe found me on Craigs List and I decided to look up the mover Joe George and this is the page that come up. He sent $2,300 and told me to take my part for the furniture he wants and then also keep $50 plus the Western Union fees from the money. I have not went to my bank yet, but am heading that way and will post later as to the out come to see if they can verify the funds. He used the name Mr Neyo and the e-mail address of mr.jones464@gmail.com

- laesjb| 1 replyHe found me on Craigslist wanting to purchase an entertainment center. He claimed that he was deaf and needed to communicate by e-mail. He used the folling 2 email addresses to contact me: kelvin.peter004@gmail.com and stevencoy05@gmail.com
He tried the same thing with me that he did with a lot of you. He Fed Exed a check to my office as I would not give him my home address. The check was for $2,500.00. He was to send a certified check, which he did not do. He asked that I send the rest of the money to his shipper via Trans Union after depositing the check. I looked up the address of the shipper. It is the library on a college campus in Florida.
I called the FBI, I filled out an internet scam report with the FBI, I filed a police report. I only need to take the check to the bank so that they can track it and see if it is stolen, which is what the FBI and the police believe.
He text me today. I will be reporting that to the FBI and the police as well. - bbbb replies to laesjbHe is still acting. He did the same to me today. He claimed that he was deaf and does not want to see the furniture. He is asking my add and name to send the check , but as I read in here I will not send it.
His e mail: kelvin.peter004@gmail.com
Thanks for the help - Hayes09I have dealt with the same guy. Made me feel like a total idiot. I kept asking him for the tracking number and surprise surprise wouldn't hear from him. Hoping I receive the check so I can report him. This needs to end.
- miuzinha10000Guys you will never believe!!! This guy did EXACTLY the SAME THING TO ME!!!!
Found me on Craigslist, deaf story, mailing me a check for 2300$ that his secretary got wrong, wiring money to his mover thru western union, giving us 100$ for the hassle blablbalbla....
We are reporting him to FBI TODAY!!!! THANKS GUYS! And thank God we looked here!!! :) - JayGot the same reply on a craigslist add about Kelvin being deaf and wanting to buy the item sight unseen by cashier's check. Total scam. I did not realize this until I had given him my name, cell phone, and address. Hopefully it doesn't come back to bite me. That stuff is all public info anyway.
- 4Q2Nigerian scammers are fond of using the name Kelvin...
And they often claim to be deaf so you won't call them and hear their accents. - MichiganFamilyTRIED to scam my family. Tried. The FBI was already on to them, but please report your experience to them, no matter how old. It will only strengthen their already strong case.
- Caller: Craigslist reply to my item for sale
- MichiganHunterHappened to me too. Called the Federal Trade Comm who already has quite a file on "deaf Kelvin". Please do report it at: 877-382-4357.
Also, if you're looking for some fun, text or call this d!@khead til you get bored. And add him to as many lists (free adult diapers, etc) as you can think of!
