- YardDog replies to TCSee, in the message he left on my phone he said his name was Daniel Craig. I thought maybe James Bong was working for the IRS now haha
- BarbI received the same message. He said it was a federal offense and could face prosecution if I didn't call him back.
- Caller: 518-800-8136
- Steve replies to KimW| 2 repliesI got one too...Our world would be sooo much better if this guy was gone!
- CMGot it 8 minutes ago.
- AHAs others have previously stated, I received a call from a Daniel Craig with the same info others have gotten from him. Obviously a scam.
I reported his information (phone number and message) to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration.
https://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml - Jack RosenthalI got the same kind of garbled message that other people have described above. I am going to ignore the message and therefore will probably spend the rest of my life in prison, but hey, it's three hots and a cot, so I can't complain. But seriously, I hope that our law enforcement officials are tracking down and shutting down these criminal operations.
- Caller: Scammer
- TempletonThe caller identified himself as Dennis Gray. He said he was from Treasury Department and action was being against me. To ignore him could result in me going before a Judge or Grand Jury. The call had an echo, made it hard understand what was being said.
I reported this phone number to the IRS fraud/imposter website.- Caller: US Treasury
- Call type: Telemarketer
- adrastea replies to PLaneYes, the sound was being manipulated electronically to have an echo effect, making understanding difficult. I could make out the word "pension" and assumed that the alleged threat was some sort of pension irregularity. Since that didn't make sense, I immediately concluded from the substance (or lack thereof) and delivery of the message that this was another scam call similar to those I have received purportedly from the IRS. The IRS has recently issued a warning that these kind of calls are escalating and should be ignored or never acted upon. The stupid criminals apparently aren't having any luck posing as IRS representatives, so they have change the scam to some kind of pension issue. The IRS has warned that government officials will never contact people by phone to resolve money issues.
- LizSame threatening message. Voice distortion. Type of call needs to include Fraudulent misrepresentation. There is something crooked at the bottom of these types of calls.

Good Luck & Best Wishes- Caller: SCAM
- TJust got this message I looked it up because I thought it rather suspicious. Good thing I did. I had noticed they didn't say a name and that was the first thing that alerted me (other than the echo) because I live in a house with 6 registered adults and they HAVE to say the name of whoever they are referring to.
- RJS replies to Steve| 1 replyI got the same robo call at 8:02 Am this morning stating that the caller was requiring my assistance with a federal judicial matter and that not returning the call would be a matter causing me to be non-compliant with the legal matter. So obviously a sham of some kind I elected to return the call only to get a "lines are busy" response indicating that I wasn't the only person trying to track down this moron.
No Federal investigator would leave you a message so poorly recorded. I happened to pickup the call in the bathroom and it sounded like the man was calling from a stall near me. To all...this is definitely some kind of scam. - TyranI received this phone call as well and talked with agent David Gray, ID# 112478. He went through the spiel and I told him that I was on my way to Africa to find his mother and f**k her in her ear. That's what he gets for waking me up with this bull.
- Caller: Scammer
- KarenI received the same sort of call from a man with an Indian accent saying his name was David Williams. He told me that he was from the Department of Treasury. I asked wouldn't the treasury department have the "department of treasury" as their ID? He said I was going to be arrested in approximately 45 minutes and placed before a magistrate if I did not pay 6,472.45 in taxes. I said it was impossible since I file jointly with my husband and our accountant has always filed on time. He said it was not my husband that owed the money: but, me. Again, I told him it was impossible since I took and early retirement. He gave a fake government ID number CP3821. I tried calling him back but the number is not being answered. It was a scam. I did not give personal information to him.
- NotAgain replies to TCJust got this call today. Glad to know I'm not the only one. I was really freaking out because I couldn't understand what "Dennis Gray" (I think) even wanted. Tried to call back, doesn't even ring.
- David replies to RJSI got the exact same message. He must think people are so stupid. He doesn't even say who he is calling for.
- In NCGot the same message.
- M Clydecall came for my son on our home phone; threatened he'd be in federal court if didn't return this call to the US Treasury about his 20013 taxes. given he didn't file taxes that year....came from an environ that reminded me of the "boiler rooms"
