Got the same scam for a nikon camera. Best part is that my husband is a fraud specialist for paypal. Oh the irony.

Has asked to buy my husbands bike from number 518 308 8207 says his name is Gary Fontneau and that he resides at Lackland air force base San Antonio TX in the military This phone number has multiple phone carriers listed as the phone provider and its a NY number in Tx hmmm!! Then I look up his supposed name and with names now a days they have a Face Book and the guys name is a 53year old from Massachusetts I know about reverse number search but unfortunately a lot of people do not and get scammed. If you do a reverse on this number you will find multiple scams by this person very sick person saying he is in the military dishonoring our TROOPS

Don't rip up the fraudulent checks or money orders!Use the links below. About a week ago, I put my car up for sale on CL. Mind you, this car is a '95 with 208,000 miles. The "buyer" wasn't even interested in seeing the car and urged me to create a PayPal account. I knew it was probably a scam but asked several friends just to be sure. They all confirmed it to be a scam and I deleted all messages and blocked the scammer's number and email. This is ridiculous! Craigslist needs to remodel their entire site to include more obvious warnings and a FAQ just for scams of all types. I'm a little afraid because I feel like I did provide the scammer with more information than I should have (i.e. first and last name, email, phone number, general location, etc.)

These idiots tried to scam me on my Pontiac G8... Haha not a chance. I wish i could find these people and knock some sense into them. Unreal. Low life scum bags

They called me about an ipad2 we had for sale and were gonna pay 2500 for it, so cool we have access to this info thank you for sharing, didn't do it by the way removed them from paypal and ceased contact. I will report.

I went through something similar. I realized right away what wad going on and when I called them out on it they told me they would kill me.
