- Mary DWhen a person actually gets on the line, his voice is definitely middle-eastern or Asian (indian, Pakistani) . Says that he is Michael Chapman, David Chipman, or Steve Itknow. Have received many calls from them. Claim there is something wrong with my computer, and want me to get on my computer because he wants to "investigate". Claims that he has a way to fix my problems, his solution is a method which costs "at least $149", but only works if I sign him into my computer so that the "fix" is effectively done. Very, very aggressive with his manners and language. Told me that they can "see" the websites that I log onto, and that they can report me if I log onto an illegal site. Big scam, even bigger piece of scum .

- BA in VirginiaSame story. Got a call from fake "windows support." He told me that my windows computer was sending errors to their server. Asked him for the IP address from which these alerts were coming. He claimed that IP addresses were confidential, and proceeded to argue with me about this point. Finally asked him how and why my systems would be reporting in to Windows servers, when every computer in my house either runs FreeBSD or Linux. He hung up.
- Caller: Windows support scammer

- LuFranCID says Chapman Michael. I never pick up calls from people I don't know. And I definitely don't know anyone in Arizona. Though I think it would be funny if they said it was about my computer. The hard drive went just before Christmas. Don't have a new one.
