"Congress gets off their duff and passes some stringent legislation that can be enforced."  We already have that legislation.  You see the fact is that crooks don't obey laws.  Never have, never will.  If laws worked the way you and everybody else wanted them to there would be no need for cops, judges, lawyers, courts, and prisons.

For every law on the books, there will always be somebody willing to violate it.

Ibid, robocall on my voicemail.

Called my cell phone.  Left blank voicemail.

Anxiously waiting on news about very ill friend. Just grabbed phone and answered. [***]! They got my number now, huh? Got nothin they want any way. SOB's!!! People just piss me off these days.

Do Not Call Registry does not prevent business-to-business calls. If you use your phone for a business, and the number appears as the contact for a business or organization, you may get stuck with the calls. You could contact your Congressional representatives, but there is not likely any legislation on this issue pending any time soon. Business-to-business calls are handled differently, if at all, from business-to-individual calls (which are the ones covered by the Do Not Call Registry.

I just add the number to a listing for SCAM in my phone directory, so if that number calls again, the word SCAM shows on the screen and I put the phone on silent for a couple of minutes. It doesn't prevent the calls, but I don't have to think about it and wonder if I've missed something. Good luck.

I hung up when there wasn't an answer. The number called back within minutes. it's a Robo call.

Don't answer, this way they don't know if it's a good number or not. If you pick up, they know it's a live and working number.

Just press 2 and they will remove you.....so they say

You'll just find yourself getting more calls if you press 2 to remove your number!

Persistent bugger. Called yesterday, too. Keep your money, give me peace!
