got a call , did not answer

I have researched this No. and internet search yeilded Qwest Communications as the owner of this No. However and e-mail complaint to Qwest revealed that it actually belongs to west telecomm. They can be reached at the followinf No. 1-800-399=3389. So maybe if enough of us call and lodge a complaint against these people we can get it stopped.

Got a call couple of days ago....as usual, no message. This first report of this phone number on this forum goes back over a year ago and these cretins are still playing games!

If you call back and press one, and all you end up doing is confirming that they have an active phone number. Then you will receive more call and next they will sell your phone number to more scrammers.

It happen to me, so I complained to my cell phone carrier, they gave me a new number years ago and now I cautiously give it only when I need to, after I warn the them to never pass on out or I take my business out. I only recieve one spam call and that was this number last year, just hit ignore store it, forgot about until I got new phone and I am tranferring numbers and check it here. It works,

It was a recording that said something like "Congratulations, you have been selected to receive $2000- something in travel miles ..."  I hung up then and googled the number.

calling every 2 hours to my cell and leaving no messege... damn I wish I could have their ADDRESS.. I would go to AZ and visit them.

Just got a call on my cell. automated voice asking me to hit 1 if I wanted $2,000 off my next trip to ..... I could not make out the destination they were selling

Just received a call from this number, did not answer (I never do when I don't recognize the number), no message left.  I don't know how these psychos get people's numbers, but I propose that whoever starts sites like this one send all these posters' comments to our glorious senators and congressmen - maybe when THEY are deluged with non-solicitated materials they will see how it feels!

Answered it computer started saying "You have been selected to receive $2,600.00" that is where I HUNG UP

I just put them on my cell phone BLACKLIST. So if a call comes in it shows up as a blacklisted number. I did request the removal of the number. This is the 2nd number that has tried to "give me $2600 in travel credits". Bet that the credits are for only a few well placed companies that rip off the public on travel deals. Have done major search for company name and on every site it's name has been blocked.

Got a call today. Did not leave a voice mail either.

Recorded message says:
I have been selected to have $2,600 in credit towards a vacation in Cancun, press 1 to speak to a representative or press 2 to have your name removed from the call list.

I have pressed "2" three times, and have talked to a representative to remove me 2 times. Latest phone call was from tonight, from my own town even.

Originally spoke to Carlos on 3/19/13 when called from 520-838-9998 and was given their customer service number of 866-859-9998. I told him I wanted to be taken off the call list.

Also have received this same recorded call from: 321-250-2865, 208-991-1199, 517-414-6121

do not know where boiler room is located, but if you ever find company offices after calling to be removed start calling the local police department administrative number (not emergency no.) After several dozen or several hundred  calls SOMEONE will visit "corporate" and stuff starts happening as local law can "influence"  the harrassment with return courtesy.  My Dad had problems years ago with uncourteous "party line" ringings in the middle of the night. Calls to AT&T's local offices (Southwestern Bell)  garnered polite "there is nothing we can do" but after calling the local manager's residence after being awoken at 2:00 am on consequitive weekends we never heard another party on ourline till we moved from the farm twenty years later. My call was for credits on travel also.

I answered the phone and all I heard was a recording "Termites chew twice as fast when listening to death metal" then they hung up. What the heck did I just listen to? Should I be concerned???... Totally confused here.

It is a phishing scam - they are just trying to see if the numbers they are calling are valid numbers. If you answer, or call back, then they know they reached a valid cell phone number, then they turn around and sell your number to telemarketers. Best thing to do is ignore the call, that way they can't confirm that your number is valid.

Called my HOME number tonight. Computer (Robo-Bot) stating "Congratulations....Your Eligible to use your Hotel Points" Press 1 to continue, Press 2 to be removed. Funny thing is, I Don't have any hotel points, if I did, why on earth would I want to be removed? Also, I did not press either option. I am on the (LOL) DNCL....a little more checking and I'm reporting them. I actually received a response from them on another complaint...Imagine that. They informed me to contact my local AG's office to file suit....I can earn at least $1000 per company. Will these stupid robo callers ever learn? IMHO Nope...just spoof the numbers they are calling from or use VOIP... For you to win, must play the cat & mouse game.... Cheese anyone??? Cheers and Good Night

Just got a call and I called back pushed one cz I'm about to go to Florida and it said I was up for redeeming my hotel points ...scam not true ..

Just had a call from this number.  They left no message.  I didn't call back.

Ok, me again, it's Fri July 5th 2013. This time they told me I had $2, 600.00 for a vacation.  Not only did I not press 1 to speak to a rep, I did not press 2 to be removed. The big kicker is they called my home at 9:12pm way against the regs. Not that they pay any attention to the regs, guess they figure pay the fines. They must think people won't report them. And if they do, to them it's just meger fine compaired to the $$$ they get from their  gullible victims. Everyone should report this number that's on the DNCL.

If you have android download Norton Mobile Security it is $30 but soooo worth it. You can add numbers into a block list and it will block the call.
