I called the number back since they did not leave a message. They're called WN Positions - a career placement company. I suppose if you ever filled out an online job application whether it's on Monster, LinkedIn, Indeed, Taleo, etc. they sound like a third party.  On call to press 1 for a rep; press 9 to be removed from their calling list.

I would never speak to third parties or any career placement companies -- only to actual companies that placed the jobs online. Be wary of these scams.

I received a call today and googled this number and came to this post.

I clicked '1' to speak with a representative of 'WN Positions' so I could figure out how they got my number. I called twice and clicked '1' and each time there is a recording of a guy named 'Chris' who says he would like to ask you a few questions. All of this is assuming you say 'yes' or 'okay' back and he goes on. It seems as if some computer reads the response given, and it takes a while to compute. I asked if this was Chris, and after a long pause he goes "Hello?"

When I asked, "Is this a recording?" there was a pause and the line hung up. It is very odd...

Called then hung up after i answered. So don't answer it.

same thing happened today - I disconnected the call

Answered and heard a long silence then a beep and automated voice saying "Goodbye" just like several from above.

Got a call from them today. Picked up, no one said anything so I just hung up.

Who asked me for my personnal info: forexample, date of grauduation, date of birth..,

I answered and they said they were calling regarding a survey I did recently.  I said I haven't done one.  He ignored me and spoke over me like I didn't say anything and said it was a career match survey and started on a telemarketing rant so I hung up.  Fraudulent liars.
