- Tamianth replies to Sheryl LongConsider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

email: fccinfo@fcc.gov - Sammi replies to TraciI get these calls too, same name Joe, using different numbers. I call back, and he'll answer once and hang up. Then when he calls from a different business, he'll do the same thing again. I know people who will call back and call back to try and get them on the phone to answer. It does tie up their phone line and sooner or later they have to answer. As far as the Federal Agencies, we have a right to know the name of the company, their location and the person who is calling, and, the right to be put on the do not call list. Which companies have, but many will they say the print is too tiny and so they don't use it. Most of these numbers are generated from online and people from overseas can use these numbers too to call the U.S. A person or a company can change the number as often as they want. Good Luck!

- GinaYeah they have called a lot. I put the number 540-358-0029 in my Contacts with the name Do Not Answer then I make the ringtone None. So they can call but I don't hear and they don't leave a message so no VM to delete. And I update my registration on Do Not Call List. I understand that you have to redo it every 6 months. Not sure if that's true but it seems like it is.

- SmithGot two calls from this number within 5 minutes of each other. I answered the second time, they said their name was joe and something about calling from an employment agency (nobody should be calling me about "employment"), then they hung up and haven't called again.
