Just got a call from this number now. Didn't answer my ph and they did not leave a VM.

Got a call on my cell number. No voicemail left. I returned call and got a recorded message asking if I wanted my number removed from the list to press 9 now. I didn't as I suspected that doing so might give the ability to hack my phone through my number.

Called my cell at 1:10pm Pacific today. Left no vm.

For a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. For tracfone & straight talk:

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code  “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

Received call on my call phone at 7:50 pm.  "Congratulations, you have won a free cruise to the Bahamas (or the Caribbean or wherever)".  I hung up!

Missed Call from this number, no VM.  I don't know anyone in San Francisco, so figured it was a scam call.  Thanks to everyone on these sights for sharing their info, it helps to know it's probably not anything important that I missed.

Just received call.  Caller I.D. said "California Call".  I didn't answer and they didn't leave message. I called back and recording said, "The survey you called has just finished.  Press 9 if you want to be removed."

When my phone rang earlier, I DIDN'T answer because I NEVER pick up if I don't recognize the number. Very glad for 800 notes for allowing folks to post their experiences. Now if the NSA would just go after these monstrous fks like they want to get Ed Snowden I'd be happy.

1-5-2016 / its a bot ... called about 10am.. number is in Fresno Ca area

Called several times.  Left no messages.  My rule:  if you're not programmed in, you're not getting answered.  If you don't leave message, more than likely, you're getting blocked.

I did not answer; no vm left. After seeing this website I blocked the number.  Thanks!

Are you all Verizon customers per chance? Maybe Verizon got hacked and our info was given away? Something has to be similar for us to all get the same call.

Nope ATT.  Received call this am.  Did not answer.  No message left.

"Hi - this is Josh in Customer Service"  Customer service in what company?  and then the pitch started and I hung up.  Another one for the call blocker.....
