The carrier knows exactly who they are by the excessive usage but they want the money and could care less

It's really more like time for you to learn how phone spoofing works. The number you see on caller ID is most likely faked, called "spoofing," and the phone companies aren't "selling the telephone lines." The "carrier" has nothing to do with this: these calls often come from overseas call centers. Scammers use this method to hide their true location and also to defraud people by making them think the call is coming from somewhere else, often a bank or credit card provider.

This number called this morning and I have had a few over the last 4 days that call and leave no message...

Every time you get a telemarketing call, tell them you are blind. And see how fast they hang up, eventually they will spread the word and they will stop calling. Of course new telemarketers might call you, but you will start getting fewer and fewer cals over time. What have you got to lose ?

If I have the time, I just lead them on for as long as I can giving them incorrect information, just enough to keep them interested and toward the end......... Oh, the I thought you were calling on the Volvo. We traded that off two years ago.

Received 2 calls within the hour today.  Did not pick up first call, second call picked up and just listened and it was very quiet then the caller hung up.  I got calls from this auto warranty company this summer and cursed at the woman and told her not to call back but it did not help.

Almost every day with the same useless car insurance.  All sorts of different numbers used.  Blank messages left if I am not in.  Would really like to have an in-person conversation with these callers.  No one should buy this insurance.

Telephone spam. Telling them to "fu** off" when you answer appears to make them go away.

fedup people use this site to see who is calling from certain numbers. I don't think there is an expectation that 800notes will make the calls stop.

I just kept them on the line for almost a half an hour messing with them before telling them no, I don't have a car.  I love wasting their time.  It is so much fun.

Getting repeated calls from this number. Auto warranty and have told them every time not to call again. Frustrating!

Get calls from these people 2-3 times a day. Blocked number but I know I will get more from another. Theyre relentless little cluckers.
