I just want calls from this company to stop.  I won't answer their calls and am not interested in anything they have to say.  How do I get them to stop calling?

Messy, I know exactly how you feel ! I do the same thing, and it doesn't help. The 'DO NOT CALL' web site is worthless. As you say, they just get a new number to bother you with, so you end up blocking 60+ numbers. At least, so far, my carrier has not put a limit on blocking numbers. Good luck! All we can do is keep on keeping on...!
Merry Christmas ! (Or whatever applies to you) !

    Please realize that:

» Your post here will NOT stop the calls.  We did not call you.  Your caller probably does not read these messages.  We cannot block calls to you.  We cannot put you on or take you off the list.  We do not know who you are, and we do not know your phone number!

    Click_This_Line_for_Info_About_the_DNC_List
The National Do Not Call list is respected by legitimate telemarketers, but is ignored by criminal telescammers.

Surveys, charities, political calls, NON-sales calls and certain preexisting business calls are exempt from the DNCL.

Business phones do not qualify for DNCL protection.

Find out who is calling and why: Debt collectors, telemarketers, charities, and survey companies often call without leaving a message. Lookup the number to read the previous reports of other users.

Report telemarketing calls: Make the Do Not Call list offenders notice the problem by reporting their practices. No business wants bad publicity.

Report phone fraud: Did someone try to scam you? Reporting the number is the fastest way to make public aware, and prevent others from falling victim to the scam.

Check out a business: Read other users' feedback about the phone number owner.

»YOU are your own best defense against unwanted calls! You can use a call blocking app, device, service or procedure to block such calls.

Here are some tried and true methods for reducing or eliminating repeated spam / scam phone calls:

    1.  Do not answer the phone if you see an unknown number on your Caller ID ... let it go to answering machine or voicemail.  Many telescammers hang up after three or four rings.

    2.  If you have a smartphone, get one of the inexpensive or free call blocker apps at your online app store, and learn how to use it.

    3.  If your cell is not "smart", read the manual to learn how to set up a "group".  Assign the scammer's phone number to that group.  Also assign a "silent ring" to that group.  You will not hear future calls from that number.

3a.  Alternately, assign a "silent ringtone" as the DEFAULT ringtone.  Then, assign your favorite ringtones to friends, family, contacts, businesses, etc.  That way, you will not hear your phone ring, even if the scammer changes numbers!   (This is also called "whitelisting", and will cause you to miss calls from non-whitelisted numbers, so be careful!)

    4.  For cell phones or landlines: Contact your phone service provider.  They may have a facility or method to allow you to block numbers.

    5.  For landlines: there are several call blocking devices and services available.  Use your favorite search engine to find one.

    6.  DO NOT call unknown numbers back without checking who called (800notes is your friend)! All that does is verify your number is "live".  Instead, read this:

The DO NOT CALL WEBSITE isn't used to stop the calls.  It' used to register your phone number so honest solicitors (like myself) know not to call you.  It's also used to report violations for those dishonest solicitations.  The fine is $16,000 for each violation.  Yes they'll get a new number but it's still a violation associated with the company.  It only takes 7 violations to reach $100,000.  Report them, eventually they'll go out of business.

This 561-270-8923 number calls 2 and 3X a day. AUTO WARRANTY scam. Uh, yeah, NO. I have them in one of 10 Telemarketer DOUCHE lists on my phone w a custom ringtone (crickets). When I hear the crickets I know it's some idiot calling to sell something. I instantly IGNORE these calls. We'll never be able to stop the telemarketers. Just gotta work around the intrusion and never answer.

Have recvd two calls from this number now 561-270-8923 and this time when I answered, the phone said in a computer voice "Please leave a message.." and then a beep. So I said, "Stop calling me" and then called the number back on my caller ID ~ where I got a nice guy in Alaska which is not the same number as I had just dialed ~ (so they are using some weird technology there) sooo annoying ~ how they think they can harass me and then think I will BUY their product is BEYOND me!

Calls from this # are constant & don't quit....telemarketer from background voices....even though all our numbers are on the do not call list, they will not stop.  I named it Telemarketer hassle, & just punch off or let it ring, but they never leave voice mail.....why?  Obviously illegal telemarketer....what should we do......well, tell 'Em you'll turn 'em in to "Trump & co"....maybe they'll figure it out....or block 'Em..

I've been called by these rude script reading people numerous times.  Before this last call the female caller kept wanting to talk about a vehicle I no longer own.  Then she wants to know about my New Vehicle (which will not require the service they're offering) she apologizes and says she'll remove me from the call list!  Well, I got called again!  Before I can tell the new caller that I'm supposed to be on the do not call list, the fuggin [***] hung up on me! 😩  I call um back but only get the busy signal😠.   Very rude!
