The feds are the ones who put 'phone scam' on the caller ID? Why did they not cut off the number?

Just rec. the same call . same number, same ID

Just had first call from this number.  ID has long string of numbers beginning with V but different from those above.

This caller wants to lower my interest rate. I have no credit cards, nor do I want them. I have repeatedly asked them to stop and they do not. They are rude and offensive!

I never answer any calls if I do not know the number, but this one made me laugh, it simply said Phone Scam & the number. Nice they are telling us now that it's a scam !!!!

I'm on the "no call" list and received this unauthorized call this morning at 10:10 CST  I don't know who this is or what they want.  My caller ID states:  "PHONE SCAM".......Please stop this calling

I had call from the same set of jerks Feb. 11 (yesterday) Caller ID said phone scam (Yea!!)  I thought what??  I pressed the talk button then immediately the off button.  So far no other calls.  I put message on FB about it and asked if anyone had any ideas what it was.  Got response from a friend saying Google it.  Glad I did, thanks to everyone for your thoughts and ideas.  Great job!!

I received one last night from 1 567 248-4455 which said phone scam.  Similar number. Called Comcast that I get my phone service through and the guy I talked to had never heard of that.  Thought it was a new service they provided.  Looked up the 567 area code and it said International.
Never heard of this before.  I didn't answer the phone and wondered what to do if it happens again.

They just keep calling, "This is Rachel........" They have never honored a do not call request. They just change their phone number and keep bothering us.

I got this today (02-15-12) and that came up as well! Either phones and caller ids are getting smarter, or the morons doing this are really, REALLY dumb!!

Received call from 5672484400 - first time ever saw this number call - my caller ID listed it as "Phone Scam"  so perhaps my phone company had this number flagged previously and identified it as a scam call. I did not answer the call.

I get this call two or three times a week on my cell. This is the first time they have cussed me. But if I'm not busy I always press 9, I give them a different story each time, I get a different story each time. Today she wouldn't tell me where she was calling from. I continued to ask until she cussed me and hung up on me. I figure the longer I can waste their time the more people I may be saving from being scammed, and if I can get them to hang up on me, that just makes it more fun for me. You should have someone from a credit card company read all the fine print and then say, I'm sorry, could you repeat that? :0)

This person called my house wanting to know if I want to lower my credit card interest rate. The number came up phone scam 567-248-4400. Sounded like an Indian. Wanted to know if I want to lower my credit card interest rate. The man said let me let you talk to my manager so my number can be removed. I hung up.

I found a great way to annoy these callers. The one that called me asked about lowering my credit card rate and I played along. They asked me first for the toll free number on my card and I told them I had to get my wallet from the other room. At that point, I just left the phone on the table until they got tired of waiting for me to come back. Taking up as much of their time as possible without giving them any info is the best revenge.
