Ignore.  Total scam. Block the calls.

I received a call from the "IRS" at first it scared me, I was confused,, then I looked up the number and realized this was a scam.

Also said they were IRS. Extremely thick Indian accent. IRS contacts by letter, not phone. Whomever posted all the scam info, thanks. I will be reporting this asap.

Indian accent. Could hardly understand him. Says somethn about income not reported...? Call also came up as blocked somehow which made me think it was on my reject list, but its not.  I looked up the number and found it's a broadband number (according to that site anyway) so they must be doing this over the internet...?

Person called and left a vm, stating his name and ID badge number. He said he was with the IRS, there was a fraud on my taxes. This is scam, the IRS will send you a notice not call you.

I just got a call from this number, he said he was Jonathon Knight of the IRS with some bogus badge number.  I was bored so I played with him.  I listened to him for a while and then I interrupted him and I said, "Well Jonathon Knight of the IRS, my name is Lori Snelling of the IRS and my badge number so bogus number I pulled out thin air, and I would like to thank you for being cooperative enough to stay on the line long enough to get a good trace on it.  I hope this transgression isn't punishable by death in your line of work.  We'll be seeing you soon."  LOL...as soon as his poor grasp of the English language interpreted what I had just said to him, he hung up.  Maybe they'll put me on their "Do Not Call List".

LOL, I just received a voice message from the same caller Jonathan Knight as well!  Giving me the same bogus badge number..He's lucky that I didn't answer cause I would of toyed with him like you did....I have his # now and I'll just put on my block call list.

I.R.S. some guy with a real heavy middle eastern accent say he was from federal government looking for my ex wife!!

You should give him her info! LOL

I received a call from officer Johnathon knight !! Please be aware.  Scared me when I heard it but later figured out it was a scam.

Called my fiancé about IRS debt. Asked if she was on a mobile phone. She said she would rather not say. She says he called her a B.... And then hung up.

scam call from the IRS.  caller left a message: Jonathan Knight.  said I owe taxes and I am hiding something from the Federal Govt.

Received a call from 571-210-1297 saying he was Jonathan Knight with IRS and that we were hiding money from the federal government.  I never spoke to him he left a message on my phone.  If he calls back I'm gonna tell him there's a bag if money located such and such place and when they come to get it the real IRS and police will be waiting!  Glad I looked this number up!

Let's start here: "Jonathan Knight" is the name of a former member of "New Kids On The Block". If you're a regular reader of 800 notes you'll see it's quite common for foreign scammers to use famous names. We've had "Steve Martin", we've had "John Carter" (of Mars, book fame). The IRS that's calling you are the "India Runs Scams" agency. Third barstool on the left, at a downtown Mumbai dive.

I received a call just now from a Jonathan Knight claiming to be from the IRS, he said that there was an audit done and fraud happened. He sounded very middle eastern. I know it's a scam not stupid.

Got call today, voicemail was left too.
Same thing as the other comments. Guy with indian accent, stating that I was evading taxes and needed to take care of it!
Yeah right!

5/12/15 8:02 PDT  This is my first from these fraudsters.  "Jonathan Knight" (with a very heavy Indian accent) calling from the IRS claiming there has been fraud discovered in my tax return.  I need to call immediately.

I wouldn't return this stupid call on a bet!  I do wish there was a better category for this type of call, its not telemarketing or prank, it is pure scam and we should be able to report it as such.

Got a call from this a**hole that I was scamming the IRS.  I dont need this B.S. in my life and wish these idiots would get a life.

Received message on cell phone.  Claiming I owe the IRS and cannot hide.  Said his name was Johnathan Night, Very thick foriegn accent.  Left this number 571-210-1297.  I called it from a different phone and noone answered.

I am here in Oregon and I have received 5 calls in the last two weeks to my cell phone with phone number
571-210-1297 claiming to be the IRS. His name is Johnathon Knight and he stresses urgency as I am guilty of tax fraud and I better call back immediately. Does not give his number but it shows on caller ID and upon calling it back it just rings. Next time I will pick up my cell and see if it is a live guy, because each message he leaves sounds identical, so probably recorded. He has an extremely thick Indian sounding accent and it is barely legible what he is saying.
