Received a call from this number to our business line.  Let the call go to voicemail and arecorded message noted that, "you've won a tropical vacation package.  Press one for more information or press two to be removed from the list."

My suggestion is that you do not press anything. Just hang up.

"lower your interest rates" is what I get when I answer and if you call back they do claim to remove your number from their calling list, however a few days later another call with the same offer from a different number. SO I am not sure if being removed from there calling list is such a good idea it confirms a active phone number and they seem to just call from a different number. This is the 4th number that has made the same offer, same voice same annoying calls.

Telemarketing can be a respectable profession. Unfortunately, the majority of them intentionally break telemarketing law, which is rarely enforced. In my mind, an employee at a call center who, for instance, hangs up when you ask to be removed, who refuses to identify themselves and who they are calling for or who does not provide a NO-COST means for removal from their call lists (a long-distance call back does not count), is a criminal or at the very least abetting one. They are not "just making a living" unless you consider other crimes justifiable means to earn an income, which definitely calls into question your ethics on this issue.

Yes, if a telemarketer scammed you out of money or tried to, then you should definitely file a complaint with the FTC as well.

Under no circumstance respond to a random phone contact or return that call.  Anybody who recommends doing so on this board on any other forum is a shill or another scam artist.  Never do anything that will validate your phone number.   Dog whistles and other high frequency sounds are good to use. Harass these thugs in return as a form of self defense. Complaints to the "Do Not Call List" WEB site seems to actually work.

Hundreds of calls from this number at all hours. I want this company permanently removed.

I got calls from the starting a week AFTER I got on the "DO NOT CALL" list.

Just got a call from this number on my work phone.  The caller asked for Clifton.  I thought he was referring to one of our web designers named Quentin so I asked him if he meant Quentin he then proceeded to call me a couple different racial slurs (amusing because I am Caucasian) before telling me that I suck goats and hanging up on me.  He did not identify his company or the purpose of his call though I could hear from the background noise that he was calling from a call center.  When I attempted to call the number back I got a disconnect message.

I received a call from this number.  The caller hung up before I could pick up, but I did get the number on my Caller-ID.  I immediately called the number back and a recorded message said that this was a number that was no loonger in use or it has been disconnected!!  "Please call back!!??"
