I was at work so I ignored it. I tried to call it back but it says it isn't a working number? Freaks me out.

I was in the other room when my cell rang. Ran into get it, heard a faint buzzing sound then 'click' - call ended. I don't know why I bother to answer these calls. What it is is a service that records who answers their phone & when so they can sell the numbers to other telemarketing companies. I use disposable cells, so they must be using number generators. There should be an app that filters out these randomized calls, like adblock for your phone. I'm sick of being tracked online, watching ads on cable, mini tv's squawking about products in dept. stores - even the (expletive) gas pump started a recording about buying a fuel additive! Not to mention the 2-5 telemarketing and survey calls I get on my home phone, EVERY (expletive) DAY! Every aspect of lives is having sales pitches crammed into it! It's time rise up and say NO MORE ADS! Don't buy anything hawked by little tvs, DVR all tv and skip the ads and never answer your phone when you don't recognized the number! Viva la revolucion!

In NM.  Rang a lot; I never picked up. --- JUST A NOTE:  Do you REALLY think a scammer would utilize a no-call list to NOT call?   A scammer often uses equipment that dials numbers in succession until someone finally picks up...like 922-4401, 922-4402, 4403, etc.

I did contact the FCC about other phone problems & gave them the numerous numbers one particular scammer used.  It takes a long time to hear back from the FCC but they use the info to build a case.  In fact, I read about that scammer on this site.

Fake call

I live in TX and this number called but my son hit ignore. I tried to call back and it says that it's not a working number.

I've been getting calls with my area code such as this one this morning from 575-390-5484. I do not answer calls  if they do not show that I have them in my caller ID. They are wasting their time trying to speak with me even if someone wants to give me a million dollars. If it's a legitimate call they will leave a detail text after I refuse to answer the call. I am not trigger happy and only have a small group of people that I care for who will truthfully identify themselves. TELEMARKETERS you are losing your time with me.

Called me but did not leave message. I called back and a recording states that it is not a working number.

They called and Hung up apparently im not the only one that gets calls from this number theres alot of ppl on the web that gets calls from this number so its considered harassment right or possibly a scam most likely do something about this pleas

Same thing happened to me. They called and I ignored the call. Tried to call it back and got the same recording. "Not a working number".

They called me and I ignored the call. Immediately called it back and get a msg saying this isn't a working number. How the hell did it just call me then?? I get these calls all the time from other numbers and you call them back and it's the same recording saying it isn't a working number. I just added the number to my auto reject list.

Left  message concerning security systems. Said it would only cost us by advertising with a "sign" in our yard

This is not a co trying to sell you a security system. It is law enforcement tracking you. Do not answer any number you do not recognize. Let it go to voicemail. If it is important they will leave message. Wise up.

"it is law enforcement tracking you".   And you know this because.....   Tinfoil hats are available.  You are correct though - do not answer unknown numbers.

What exactly do you base your claim that, it's law enforcement tracking you? Seriously.

Got call from this number 575-390-5484 an unknown number to me from Hobbs NM   south of Santa Fe NM  I use Privacy Star to block and enter it for no further calls in the future

Unwanted calls to my cell phone listed on national register

Called  my cell and I didn't answer because I was on another call and I didn't recognize this number (575)390-5484. Must be a scam from seeing the other posts about this #.

I was expecting a call from the 575 area code, so I answered. Got a recording about how "home invasions" are increasing. Listened for about 10 seconds, then I hung up.
