I'm on the "National do not call " list too & your right. They are very ineffective. So at this point Number Block programs are the only protection we have. Ever since Harper brought out the new anti-spam law there has been more than ever & it almost seems like there's an increase in the weird numbers showing up on my phone. Probably because * Stephen Harper* doesn't care about it. I mean how many votes would he get for acknowledging it & then having to do something about it.. They just tell you to contact your " provincial Consumer Protection " branch. Who I might add is ineffective as well.  .

Wind Mobile must sell their lists like Cox does. I do not want any unsolicited calls. This is the problem of penalizing email...why don't we punish spam phone calls??????

This number called me 4 times in one minute . Eff off and call someone who cares !!

There's not much we can do about those callers as they are abroad, probably in Southeast Asia, using vacant phone numbers. I get those calls regularly and don't answer but it's still annoying to have to check call display to see who's calling.

It's up to the regulator (government) to make sure foreign scammers or even any foreign interest have no access to Canadian phone numbers - they should be available only to identified, contributing Canadians who live in Canada and have an address here - then they could be held accountable for their scams.

Got 3 calls today from them, never seen the number before today.

I just got a call on my cell phone from 1-579-883-8924 at 3:00 pm. When I answered the call, nobody responded.So annoying.

Same Al as earlier. They didn't leave a VM this time.

Got hit with these guys today... no VM.

Two calls within one minute this morning each call rang only once then they hung up... I would have to guess it's an auto diaper looking for active numbers to sell.

This tel 579-883-8924 rang my cell#.. did not recognize# so did not answer..

This number called me,579-883-8924.. I didn't answer because it is not one of my contacts, So annoying..So I put a block on it.. That will fix this one..

15798838924 just called, i didnt pick up because i dont know that number. So i google the number and turns out its the one where they say that i win a cruise to the bahamas. I want them to stop calling.
