Got a call from this number the other day and no message was left.  Came up on Caller ID as follows:
VoltDelta LLC
585-362-4105

"Assistance verification calls are conducted in accordance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations."

Sorry but robot dialing in Washington State is against the law and in fact most states allow lawsuits for doing so.

"So how can they verify the phone number when a real person didn't talk to anyone?"  Your answering machine or voice mail answered.  That's all they need to determine that it is a valid number. I got a similar call and won't bother listening to the message now that I know what it is.  Also got a call at home on Saturday to verify that I had received the new phone books.  Which I *had* even though I asked years ago that I be dropped from the delivery.  (Some poor [***] has to carry them up three flights of stairs and then *I* have to carry them down three flights and across the parking lot the recycling bin because I don't need phone books.  Someone has invented the internet.)  Suspect this is all because I recently changed phone companies (even though my number and address remained the same.)

So.. how'd the lawsuit go?

Also, check your robot dialing laws.  There are exceptions.  Hopefully your attorney tells you this in the early stages of the suit.

If I wanted a call from Volt Delta I would give them my phone number. The fact I didn't means it's an unwanted call and I don't care what they are doing. Who cares who they work for, or what laws they are told they follow. It's my phone and I pay it and I don't want them calling it's unwanted!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you assure me that the information you gather will not be used by robocallers to annoy me?  Do you sell the results of your call verifications?  If so, then you are calling for commercial reasons which means you are violating the "Do Not Call List" laws, and calling for possible illegal solicitations.  That's the way I see it anyway.  If I get an uptick in robo and nuisance calls in the next few months, I'm talking to my lawyer wife and father-in-law about a suit against Volt Delta.  You better be careful with what you do with the information.

Do you sell the information you gather from these calls?  What is your privacy policy?  Don't tell me to go to the website.  If I do then I've made a business contact, and that could open me up to more contact from people than I want.

Have received three spam calls today after answering Volt Delta call this morning.  This is the most l've had in one day in months.  Since I started blocking calls with my call blocker.  Now it seems I have to start all over with the effort.  No thanks to Volt Delta.  Don't try to tell me you aren't a phone phisher for the illegal robocall industry.  I think you sell lists to these scammers under the guise of directory assistance.  Who pays you to do this?  Please don't cut and paste your pat answer to this complaint.  Sooo looooong and boooring, and in my opinion soooooo untrue.  Give the truth for once.

Just checked Volt Delta out on Linkedin.  As I thought.  Call center management.  To me, this supports my view that you are selling phone lists to any and all comers.  I think, to Volt Delta, that they would sell to anybody to make a buck.  This "core provider of the National Directory Assistance (411) database" is just a ruse.  If it's not, post your contract with the National Directory Assistance for proof.

If Volt Data is doing what they say they're doing then they did it all wrong.  Since they did it sooooo wrong I have come to the conclusion that it wasn't done for the reason they said it was.  I think a class action law suit might be in order.  If we achieve subpoena power in the suit, then it's my opinion that we could track down their customers and see how they are using the information Volt Data has acquired by what I think is a lawless act on their part.  Any takers.  Less blog, more action

Got the same verification message. I doubt it's necessary to leave a message in order to verify a number is active. I think the phone companies have very good ways of keeping track of active numbers and wouldn't have to outsource this. Suspect it's a telescammer.

I had worked at getting my privacy back for many months by using several techniques for ending such intrusive, obnoxious, and illegal calls like from Volt Delta.  I made a mistake and answered this call and the robocalls to my home phone have gone up six fold in the last three weeks.  I think gonnatrytoexplainagain is a company spokesman and is very guilty of harassment.

Don't try to make excuses for them.  THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THEM.  To me, they're cheap law breakers.

You, Fred A., are the dummy.  Why are you defending these low lifes.  Oh, I bet you work for them and enjoy the fruits of their onerous behavior.  But don't fret.  I'm sure your loyalty to these sub human, make money at all costs, refugees from a used car lot will reward you handsomely.

Yes I got the robot call on voice mail claiming to be verifying for 411 directory assistance.  Seems to be just verifying live numbers to sell list to spammers scammers and other low life.

They know they have a good number and sell it to 20 other companies. They are destroying the land line phone system.
