I received a call from this number also. It was a friend of mine who had been emitted. I'm glad I took it!

I missed a call from this number at 9:32pm. Unfortunately I DID recognize it. Its the same number that called me on July 11, 2010 at 2:18am to inform me i needed to come to the ER immediately. My son was killed in an accident. So recieving these calls puts me into a complete panic as i have 3 other children, not to mention a mom and other relatives/friends that i worry about. I'm not happy that there was no message or a live person to talk to when I called it back. So even as i write this, I'm stressing out.

I moved away from Rochester 3 years ago; but have maintained my 585 cell phone.  
There is no chance I have any kind of appointment at Strong, Highland, U of R, or any place associated with there.
The caller called twice as a fax.  My cell phone provider offers a method to receive a fax through my cell phone.
No WAY I'll be picking up that fax.
This HAS to be a fishing expedition masking as U of R, Highland and/or Strong.

University of Rochester number for outgoing calls.

Belongs to Univ of Rochester/Strong Hospital. It's their switch for outgoing calls.

It's a legit number for Strong/Highland hospital.  It's like a main switchboard kind of number.  I had a missed call on my cell from them and then got a real call on my office phone (I had given them both numbers) - it was my doctor calling back.

This is one of the main switch numbers on a huge phone system at the University of Rochester, Rochester, NY.

It is impossible to determine the specific phone it came through, because all outside calls are routed through this number to the switch.

I saw a call and I didn't know who it was and my brother said who are you and why are you calling my brother

I hate them

It was just an automated call confirming a doctor appointment.

This number has been calling me 5 times in a row at 12:48 am!! middle of the night. now they just called again at 6 am.

Considering the amount of people who say this number is from the local hospital, I have no doubt that it is.

I am a patient of the UR medical system, but they ALWAYS leave a message.

I have a feeling that if you got a call from this number, and no message was left, that it is a scammer using a mask to hide their real number and instead show up this local one (this happens a LOT now a days)

4 call one evening. 5 call next day. When I did hear a voice it said"sorry wrong #" Called switchboard they claim they couldn't help me.

I would like the phone calls to stop.

Received a call from this number at 11:00 PM at night. I didn't pick up. No voicemail was left.

I was called 3 times this morning by this number. When I asked who they were trying to connect with she said her husband.  Definitely not me- my wife dies 6 years ago.  Hmm...maybe she is trying to reach me!

Highland doctor appt reminder.

Definitely reminder from Highland Hospital, as above. Mine was for dermatology, I think.

Received a 4 second voicemail with background noises as if it were a pocket dial at 12:30 p.m. on a Sunday afternoon.  I have no reason to be contacted by the hospital as others have noted.

I re received the same call but I answered  and it was a older lady asking to  be directed to hyland hospital. I told her she had the wrong number she said we will see that she was going to call security. I told her go ahead ahead and I hung up.
