- Rick| 1 replyTelemarketers are engaging in the practice of spoofing actual numbers assigned to real people or organizations. I routinely receive calls from local numbers, land line and cell phone, that is a credit card offer. If you receive calls from someone spoofing a legitimate number, it is fraudulent. And never say the word yes. Google that.

- Damon| 1 replyI got a call from this number saying they were following up on a surgery I had 10 years ago and wanted me to do a survey to see how I've been. But, he has my doctor's name in the surgery performed, which is not a common surgery btw. He wanted authorization to access my medical records and I told him if he were to mail me something and it looks legit then yes I would. He then asked if he could call me back after he received that. I don't know why if it's a survey like he said, he'll need my medical records (for physical therapy, etc). I hope I didn't confirm stuff he was trying to confirm illegally. From what I understand you have to have a written release for obtaining records. So I'm starting to think this was a scam.
- Caller: Strong or Highland hospital orthopedics

- BigA replies to DamonYes it is certainly a scam. Why would they be calling up 10 years later? I would contact the doctor's office/PT office and ask them.
