Third Party Call with $3.89 in charges when answered

See the $3.89 charge on my landline phone bill in the middle of the day..... we all work during the day.  The # associated with the charge is 587-943-0411........ does anyone know who belongs to this number or is it a stolen one like so many scam callers.?

Your phone carrier should be able to give you all the information you need.

I got a charge of $3.89 to my phone bill with this phone number. However, I did not make a call.

Then presumably you called your phone carrier & asked them about it, right?

My phone carrier is Rogers. I called Rogers. Rogers said this charge is Third Party Call. The Third Party is WiMacTel Inc.  Rogers said I need to contact WiMacTel Inc.  But, I never deal with WiMacTel Inc, and I never have any consent with WiMacTel Inc.  I donot know WiMacTel Inc at all.

By taking the time to look this company up (something you should have done) and reading about them it looks like they provide, among other things, collect calls and inmate calls.  In any case you will need to contact them to find out what this charge was for.

Since your carrier gave you that answer and since it is contained in your last post I have to wonder why you asked that question?  But here, I say it again since you either did not understand your phone carrier.  You must contact WiMacTel Inc.   Got it?

This is a scam.  I had the same thing and talked to my carrier.  They are reversing the charge, but this is a scam!!!

I'm surprised that they still have pay phones in Canada.  Most likely someone entered your phone number for billing.

I also had a charge of 4.31 on my Oct phone bill.  I never made a call ever to this company.  I believe it is a scam also.  I called my Sasktel provider. They will reverse it out. Sasktel said that the company, WIMACTEL, Inc. might direct bill be anyway.  I said they can go ahead and try!

I got charged $11.67 by Rogers for “third party calls” from this number and after a lengths discussion with Rogers they reversed the charge

j'ai oublié de mettre le nom  WiMacTel Inc.

$7.78 showed up on my Bell bill.....after discussion with Bell outside my country...the charge will be reversed, but they could not tell me where the pay was located other than in Alberta. The time of the calls middle of the night my nap time.

Frais apparaît sur ma facture de Vidéotron pour le 2 novembre à 13 h 14. Je n'étais pas à la maison.
