got a call from that # today dec 24, 2009. when I return the called, it was disconnected.

i just got this call @ 4:49 AM  on my cell same thing called back said disconnected  no longer in service, what is going on , anyone???? (601) 429-9007

received a call to my cell and te first time they hung up the second time they knew my first name and then hung up.  i called the number back only to find out that it was disconnected or n longer in service.

I have beeen receiving calls from this number for a week now.Every time I called back it was a disconnected number.Question is how can a disconnected number be used to make calls?By the way I live in Baltimore, MD.

I call to this number but the number is disconnect i receive this call at 8PM in the night.I dont one this call me back in my celular.

Got a call from this number today. They were trying to sell me some online advertising and I ended up hanging up on the idiot after I told him I wasn't interested but he kept going on and on. Caller ID states the number is bases in Vicksburg, MS.

I got a call too. It was an Eastern Indian guy with an accent so thick I could hardly understand him. He claimed to be from some legal department and was trying to get my info and that my information would be downloaded into some data base and I would be arrested. I already knew it was a scam (I received a similar call yesterday)I told him to send any pertinent info to my address on record as is federal law for collecting a debt. He called 3 or 4 times in a row. After the last time I told him it was harrasment and the next time he called I was calling the FBI and the CIA. That seemed to do the trick

This arab-sounding fella called me today offering a $300 gift card to wal-mart for being a loyal customer, as well as a free trip somewhere.  I do shop at wal-mart a lot, so I was stupid and gave him my name and part of my address.  Then he started asking for my debit card number to charge $4.60 for shipping, and then I knew this was BS.  He said they already had my card number on file from me shopping at wal-mart, so I asked him why he needed my number, he said he needed to confirm it.  I told him it was BS and said it was a scam, and he told me wal-mart was angry that I wasn't being loyal and that they were charging me $0!  HAHA!

I meant to put that he said that wal-mart was going to charge me $50, not $0.  That was the outrageous part.

this dude name shane is calling me from this number threating me and its making me cry. i dont know how to block the call or anything. this is really unfair i wish it would just stop.

Some companies, whether legit or not, will buy a rotary list; its legal 2purchase this list bc some businesses use it for great purposes, if ur number isn't set as not published ur number will show, as well if ur number is set to not published thru ur phn company and it doesn't show in the white pages then someone purchased the roatry list illegaly and will pose as a bill collector bcuz any business u owe money actively has the rt to contact u and can not b blocked. Thts how they get ur # the # is shown as disconnected whn u call it bcuz whoever has this # is using a dial out only line which keeps u from being able 2 correctly trace where the cl is being placed. This is a MS AREA CODE BUT THE CALLS COULD b coming from anywhere, also more thn 1 person is running this scam this isn't the same person who has called all of us as some of uhave noted sometimes its silence sometimes they'll try 2 sell u something sometimes it'll b a bill collector, they r all scams, lastly go to www.donotcall.gov and have this # blocked so they can't call u anymore. I have it set up so that my landline calls will forward to my cell. This number called my landline and showed as blocked, when it went to my cell it showed this number. I didn't answer. I just registered with the www.donotcall.gov - I'll try that. Thanks for the great advice Woodrow, I hope it works for everyone.

I had this number call my cell, and i answered. Turns out it was my mom calling from the house line?! For some reason it came up as this number, very weird. I live in NJ but the number was Vicksburg, MS or something.

My husband received a call on his cell phone from 601-429-9007, the person on the other end said they were calling from Social Security office and wanted to verify that my husband was getting his diabetic medication from the right people and they needed to verify his social security number, my husband has a very bad memory but was able to give them his number, they hung up I asked who it was and went to call the number back found it dissconnected or no longer in use, so beware of 601-429-9007

caller asked for owner- said they were working for google.com - I routinely hang up before they get any further in the call

the # 6014299007 called me, i was trying to find the area code of it when i found this site... they knew my name my boyfriends name and even knew he had kids.... and that we spent alot of time together.... called back it said disconnected!!!!

Received a called with this number in the caller ID however the call was from a friend in Detroit.  The number, when dialed back from my house phone reaches only a disconnection message.

What is happening?
