Received another call on 8/13/ 2012 @ 8:53 pm. A representative from Az Republic was told, via phone conversation on 8/10/2012, to stop these calls.

Please have my number removed from call list!!

Calls 4-5 times during the day and 1-2 times in the evening. .  Please stop calling.

Stop Calling me, I do not want nor do I read the newspaper! I am still waiting for you to refund my money from the time!

sick to death of it.  Called my cell phone.  It is unlisted.  My husband reads the rag but I don't know if he gets these calls.  Never anyone on the end of the line.

Please stop calling me at work. I am not allowed nor is it professional to take personal calls during work hours.

I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau...lo and behold, the calls stopped, and I also received an email from AZ Republic. I could tell they were not happy that I contacted the BBB, but I did get a (sort of) apology from them.

I just got a call from this number...now that I know who it is, I will answer next time and if they offer selling the newspaper to me, I will ask them if this is some kind of joke unless they offer the paper in Braille since I'm blind!!!!!!

This number calls here as many as 6 times a day...it needs to be stopped!

STOP CALLING ME - if you are the newspaper, I get it, have gotten it for years, and just may quit over these phone calls!!!!

Stop, stop, STOP calling me! I'm on the "Do Not Call" registry with both my home AND cell numbers, yet you continually call both. Stop harassing people. I too, know how to order a damned newspaper if I wanted one and I DON'T! Just STOP.

I do not want calls from this number anymore. Buddy check 12 calls every month and if I don't answer they call back. I don't want any more calls from them.

They call 3 or 4 times every day. A few times I picked up the phone and there was an immediate disconnect. I just want to stop this harrassment. Sometimes I am in the middle of something important. I feel sorry for people that are ill and get repeated calls. I am also on the do not call list. Does it help at all?

I'm receiving calls from 602-444-4444 more than once a day [as late as 8:30pm] weekdays and weekends. If I answer, no one is ever on the line. I looked up the number and it is the Arizona Republic Newspaper.

I am so sick of theses phone calls.  Now I know why I do not subscribe to you.  You are harassing all these people, and all for the sake of 💰💰💰💰💰💰. Shame on you!!!??

I've been getting a very annoying pattern of calls since Oct 12th 2014.  Every day between 8am and 9am, I get a call from a number identified only as "Beaumont TX", but it's a different number every day.  Then I'll get several more calls throughout the day from that same number (2 to 6), then the next day a new "Beaumont TX" number calls and repeats this pattern (with other numbers occasionally peppered in, see below).  They rarely ring more than 4 times, and never leave a message when the voicemail picks up.  This pattern has been happening every day since the 12th and continues today (Oct 20th).  I know all these numbers are the same scumbag telemarketer/scammers, but here's what I'm getting:

But I moved and got a new number, and only got an occasional call instead of several per day, every day.  Until now.  So your number gets put in some scumbag's auto-dial system and you're screwed for eternity now?

Everyone.  This one we should be able to stop.  It is indeed a number from the AZ Republic newspaper, at least it comes through on the phone listed like that.  I just sent a letter to the editor about this.  Who knows whether or not it will be printed but at least now they have been notified and cannot claim otherwise.  You can send a letter from their site, "http://static.azcentral.com/opinion/letters/"  My letter was this:
"I am writing to let you know that there are many people that are angry about telemarketing calls coming from your number, 602-444-1000.  Please look up site "https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-602-444-1000/2" for details and you will see what people are talking about.  Many people are now calling for some kind of action from the government and telephone companies for not stopping the scam telemarketing calls.  In fact this is a perfect topic for you to write an article on.  The government "do not call" list does not work and everyone knows it.  About 90% of the calls I get on my land line phone are attempts to scam me on something.  Telephone companies should be required to do investigations on numbers repeatedly reported doing this.  The scammers continue to get new numbers so blocking only works for a short time.  Obviously the phone companies know what is going on and are profiting from the criminal behavior.  They could probably do more than the government to stop this if pressed on the subject.  Thank you.  Oh, and do not forget to do something about your own number listed above, not good 'press' at all."
