I got the call today from Trip Joy Advantage, Mike left a message at 0829 this morning!  They called back 3 times after that and when I answered they hung up until the last call at around 1900! I asked them to take me off there list as they got my info from a bridal show! I looked at the list of vendor from the show and they weren't on there, so not sure how they got my info!  When I asked the lady to take me off the list I wasn't interested in what she was selling she rudely said that she would pass my 5k package along and hung up!  I'm sorry if you were a legitimate business you probably wouldn't allow your workers to act like that!

It is not a "scam", but it may not be for everyone. We received a free night in a lovely room on the cape, all of the gift cards as promised and an informative presentation about vacation timeshares. We weren't ready to buy in at that time, but will definitely consider it at a later date. If you have never gone to one of these presentations, you really aren't providing anyone an informed opinion.

Not sure what point you are trying to make, but my point is this particular promotion is not a scam. I went, didn't pay a dime and received the gifts as promised. As I stated, it may not be for everyone, but I just wanted people who might have been curious (or jaded and uninformed as you appear to be) that it's worth a shot if you have some free time and might be interested in a timeshare program. If I went by all of these messages from people who had not even gone to the presentations I would have missed out.

Ah, well that's where you're wrong - again.  Posters have gone to the presentation and been dunned for credit card numbers. Why would you need that if it's "free"!  Again, shills like to post positive reviews.

The reason they need a credit card number is, while your gift is "free", the taxes are not. Most states have a law that the recipient of any contest must pay any state, local, or federal tax on such "gift", "trip", etc.. My husband and I did one of these for Blue Mountain Resorts. Received a free stay at a hotel in New Hampshire, he got a $150 gift card for Bass Pro Shops, we had to sit through a 90 minute presentation. This is definitely not for everyone. It definitely is a company trying to sell timeshares. I do not work for this company, nor do I have any vested interest in it.

...you don't pay the entity from whom you "won" the prize.  Those taxes would be paid when your file you taxes.  Again - obvious shill is obvious!

Yeah, been to one. Forced into a little room and forced to watch a 2 hour "presentation". Every couple sitting at their own table with a sales person. Then the hard sell begins. Push push push and when they pushed someone to buy everybody had to clap. We went for the free dinner for $35 bucks. We wanted out of there so bad we wrote a check for $4000 we did not have just to be free. Got clapped at and got out after we got our free dinner card. RAN to the bank and cancelled the check for what? $35 bucks. So our free dinner was not free at all. We could have saved the time and just gone to dinner! What a scam and I don't believe a word any of you have to say about your wonderful experiences. Scam.

Actually have heard this sales pitch before and they told me it was a promotional giveaway which of course is NOT a winning it is what it states a promotion so what they're doing isn't lying or manipulating they are telling you that if you scratch their back by listening to their bs for however long they will scratch yours by giving you some airfare and I think an overnight stay for your time. I have done plenty of timeshare presentations for free gifts before some of them suck and some of them are alright but I have yet to attend one that didn't offer legit gifts. I have not attended this particular groups presentation but I'm set up for an appointment this weekend

Ive worked there for two years. You get the gifts as promised for 90 minutes of your time. Its a promotion. Telemarketers get paid $7.25. Now if you show up to the appointment.... the reps then make their commission which would be anywhere from $65-$90 a couple. They get paid on whatever one is higher. They dont make both commission and pay....This job was all a numbers game and it wasnt an easy job. Your paycheck depends on people who read negative comments then dont show up for their appointments. In that case some people cant provide food on the table for their children , or pay a car bill , or even pay their rent.  So you going to the appointment benefits YOU , The REPS , And THE COMPANY. Its not a lose lose situation.  Now im not saying this company treated me well i left for a couple reasons.  The first reason they owed me spiff money. ( means extra bonus money earned that day) They never gave me it because there is a 19 year old manager who doesnt know what hes doing.  ( Zachary Hunt )  He didnt want to pay me on one appointment that i made. One wasnt good enough. I had to sign a contract saying if i didnt get 14 shows (appointments that show up) in a 2 week period im going to lose my senior rep position. senior rep = $90 per person who shows up for a schedueled appointment. Now if i lost that position then id get paid $65-$80 a show. Now they expect you to do good when your under pressure. Dont threaten me with my pay because the people we schedueled didnt show up for their appoinments. Thats not my fault. Then i schedueled a single lady who did QUALIFY and the guy named Gerald at The Falls At Ogunquit Resort In Ogunquit ME Turned her away because she looked like she wasnt gunna purchase anything. I didnt even get payed for that lady showing up. Then i schedueled another lady over the phone.... She was a deaf lady who did also meet the qualifications ..... but My Manager Kevin Curran didnt want to pay an interpretar . So unfortunatly i could not scheduel her an appointment, simply because she was deaf and it would cost him money ......which is illegal. And i had to Tell poor Marsha she did not qualify when she really did.  Then get this SINGLE MEN dont qualify because they arent going to purchase says the %. But woman do QUALIFY because woman always purchase.  Now i quit because this company treated me poorly and i dont want to work for a company that discriminates against people. such as men or deaf people or even spanish people. If your going to go to a tour i would go just to help those poor reps make some money and pay there rent, car, kids, etc. This company treated me poorly and i was there for two years. would i ever work for this company again.....ABSOLUTLY NOT! I would go to the tours and not buy [***]. I would only help the reps out because they are all wonderful people.

Terrible information and completely incorrect.  I have worked for the same company for over 3 years now and you don't work there anymore because of your attitude.  It's sad that you blame everyone else for your wrong doings.  Not only does this company not discriminate but I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be welcome back when you come crawling back in a few months, again.  It's not the job, it's the person.  The supervisors you have mentioned have been extremely kind to me and all of my coworkers.  Good luck Chelsea Corthell.

Hey dumbass , they get paid by you saying you will go, so why would they be annoyed ? They don't care if you show up, so how are they getting a dose of their own medicine? Also people like you make me realize that the English vocabulary is getting butchered each day by people who don't know the full or true meanings of words. If a person gets airline tickets, a gift card or two, and an overnight stay, then how is this a SCAM ?

You clearly can't play the game . Again they are paid just by you booking an appointment.

Before you listen to people who may have had bad experiences elsewhere and actually be more open minded.
 I went to the timeshare presentation and it was not a scam...I received 4 roundtrip tickets.. 40 in gas thru a card and future free overnight stay at anyone of their resorts..I went to Hawaii.and between me an wife saved  2200 on airfare.and 100 dollars a night of hotel...I would say that was well worth my 90 min tour..p.s.
 Kids had awesome Christmas that year..and I still have two more tickets left..I'm gonna give them to my daughter for wedding present...So this is not a scam...Just a lot of closeminded people.
