Caller ID shows Nashua, NH.  Obvious boiler room background; asked for former IT manager (pretty much mangled the name). I just hung up on the guy.

Man with accent demanded, "Connect me to [VP Marketing]."  No hello, no please, and had the nerve to use the executive's first name only.  He wanted to send a white paper, which around here is soliciting, so I transferred him to Purchasing.

These people need to be reported, they call our company everyday asking for a different person.  They will not take our name and number off their calling list.  Scum sucking, boiler room salespeople.

Caller had a heavy thick foreign accent, was definitly unfamiliar with both the English language and the concept of polite manners, nearly unintelligible. It was so bad that I finally had to ask them to just spell the name of the company they were representing let alone the name of the person they were attempting to reach.  They're not able to leave messages though.

UPDATE:  Called three times this morning, demanding to speak with a Marketing executive or someone in that department.  Claimed not to be selling anything but rather imparting information.  Advised that I cannot transfer calls without a contact name and that the company considers data sharing to be a sales call.  Sent twice to Purchasing; argued with me the third time, quite distressed, then hung up.

Indian accent unable to grasp the concept of "what are you calling about". After 3 attempts eventually told me they had analyzed small business and had some reports to give me.

I picked up the call and the caller mentions a name to be transferred over to.  I told him to hold for a second so I can look up the name and as soon as I put him on hold, he hung up.

    Hey
Some guy asked me if I was the IT Manager and said he would send an email. I have no Idea what he was talking about. He also had a heavy accent.

    Annoyed by caller
Calls almost everyday.... used to ask for IT manager; now he got one of our employee's name and asks for him.  Told him to remove our company name/number from his call list, but apparently he does not listen because he just called again.  He said his name was Gabriel Juan.

    UGH!!!!!

    Scam caller
Called looking for an IT Manager and then like other posters have said, once they got a hold of a IT employee's name they started asking for that person. This number calls at least once a day, sometimes twice a day, for about a month. When I said to not call this number anymore because he calls everyday and I will not transfer him because we do not accept unsocilited calls and that the person he is asking for will not accept his call, he got all huffy and said he's "never called before". My caller ID begs to differ.

Extrememly pig-headed and stupid, annoying, unnecessary and a total scam.

We get multiple calls a day from this number.  They somehow managed to get the name of both my marketing director and my IT manager.  Sometimes they ask for one and sometimes the other, which is the first clue these people aren't legitimate.  I just send them to voicemail.  Plus, how do you not know how to pronounce one of the most common, admittedly Hispanic and not Anglo, names in the entire world?  Some days, they call 5 or 6 times within 10 minutes then do the same thing a few hours later.  Fortunately, today seems to be a slow day for these scammers - only 2 so far.

Same as above. He told me he understood I was the purchasing agent which is correct. I told him I don't make the IT decisions for my company. He then asked for that persons name. I said it could be one of a couple people and asked for his contact information. He informed me that he didn't have a call back number at this time. That confirmed to me it wasn't legitimate. I work with a lot of people in sales and don't think I've ever met anyone that didn't have contact info LMAO

    Fed up with caller
They call multiple times a day with heavily accented voices.  I've told them we're not interested to no avail. They want to partner with my company for video walls or something like that. I've told them they got the IT manager wrong and then tell them we outsource our IT department.  We're a small business and our actual IT person has no time for this crap.  Neither do I.  These days I just put them on hold and let their system hang up.  I'm about to report the number for harassment and luckily my phone system keeps records of every call in or out. Soon I'll just record every call and use it for evidence (I'm allowed to under the law).
