We had our IT dept create an extension for these calls, 5-0-5-0, which just rings and rings. Yesterday, in two of the calls I took from the other number that calls several times daily (mostly 856-204-0652, but there are other #s from the same call center), I made small talk. Asked the caller if he likes his job, what it is he does, what country he's in, what time is it there, then told him it's a shame he can't be helped by us and hung up. He kind of chuckled at each Q--like he knew it was a game--and kept asking for the same name after each Q.

Caller was offering white paper, told him to remove me from phone list.

I've noticed this number in my work phone history several times, calling at odd hours and never leaving a message.  Today I answered and a woman asked for a co-worker who no longer works here.  I could barely understand what she was saying and asked her to repeat several times.  I finally said, I'm sorry, I cannot understand what you are saying.  She hung up on me.  Lots of call center noise in the background.
